AYON conducted an

‘Assessment of the Local Gov-

Youth Perspective’. The study

has covered 4 districts (Field

work) (Siraha, Kavre, Surkhet

to assess the empowerment of

the marginalized youth popula-

tion for active engagement with

local governments, inquire if the

grants for youth led local development and

evaluate if there is any specific policy sup-

port for decentralization, local governance

and assess the process in terms of gender

sensitivity and social inclusion practices.

Broadly, the assessment is based on:

• Comprehensive review of documents

• Open and structured discussions with

key stakeholders at district levels.

stakeholders in selected 4 districts.

from government LBs, LGCDP imple-

menting partner NGOs, Social Mobilizers
