THIS & THAT
GOD uses our problems as building materials for HIS mira-cles.
Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers, or you can grow weeds.
Missionary Lines
It is not too late to get involved with the Big Invite. Georgia
Baptist President Thomas Hammond has challenged us to invite 1
million unchurched homes to Easter Services (that would be 3.9
million people). Each of us and our churches can invite one or two
and fulfill the goal. Pastors you can go to thebiginvite.org and get
all the information you need to carry on this campaign in your
church.
This weekend will be the Mobile Medical and Dental Unit at
Emmanuel just out of Glennville. There is always needs for volun-
teers. Call Sandra Powell at 739-1119 to volunteer.
The Association will again be participating in the Baby Comfort
Station on Saturday, Mar 11, and Sunday, Mar. 12 at the Wildlife
and Rattlesnake Roundup in Claxton. If you would like to serve
please call Kathy Hill at 253-3132.
Churches in the Cobbtown area will be joining together to host
an Easter Celebration on Saturday, Apr. 8, at the Recreation Park
from 10 am until 1 pm. If your church would like to join in this
activity contact the office for more information.
Folks, I want to encourage us in the fact that we are only about
six weeks out from Easter. Easter is our Celebration of the Risen
Savior of this world. It is the most opportune time to talk to peo-
ple about the Lord Jesus. Marcus Merritt of the Georgia Baptist
Mission Board posted last week that 98 percent of church at-
tendees' had never invited someone to church. WOW! this Easter
let us invite people to the Lord and to church with us.

Good Morning Jesus; thank you for a new day!
Greetings Friends!
We had an AWESOME Men’s Ministry Supper at Connor’s
Baptist, Thursday Night, February 21, 2017. The guest speaker, Brother
K.C. Seabury, brought a powerful message, “Who Do You Represent?”
We as fathers, husbands, brothers, employees, etc. have many roles to
represent and many examples to demonstrate. Above all we must be
Ambassadors for Christ! (II Corinthians 5:20)
A BIG thank you and much appreciation goes out to Conner’s
Baptist for jumping on board last year and requesting to host the first
quarter meeting . They did not come up short on anything! The meal
was incredible and the reception was spectacular. Additional joy came
from the special Sea Worthy music provided by John Haggard and
Volly Nelson. If anyone left hungry of food or inspiration, it’s because
they did not come to this Men’s Ministry Supper.
Thank you to all who attended and support our Associational
Men’s Ministry. Be of good cheer and encouragement to all men, and
continue to develop your individual church’s Men’s Ministry Programs.
Your brother in Christ,
~Steve West~

Women With a Heart for God’s Work
Association-wide WMU Update
The Tattnall-Evans Associational "Inspirational Banquet" was held at Pine Grove Bap-tist Church on Thursday, February 2, 2017 with over 100 in attendance. The delicious meal was catered by Bobcats Diner of Collins. Betty Sharrock, WMU Consultant, shared very important WMU information to our group. Luke Morrison, Missionary from the Tap-estry ATL, was our guest speaker, and Luke was on fire for the Lord!! Luke shared how the Tapestry Families are growing in grace, servanthood, and unity to the end of being on mission daily. Luke also shared that his wife and five children were very involved with his ministry there in East Atlanta Village. A big thank you to the WMU Ladies of Pine Grove for decorating and hosting our "Inspirational Banquet". WMU Focus week was observed during the week of February 12th through February 17th. All WMU's were encouraged to present to their church a program on WMU or do Mission Projects during the week. The GA Baptist Mobile Medical/Dental Van will be coming to the Emmanuel Hispanic Church on Friday, March 3rd from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 4th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This ministry is sponsored by the Tattnall-Evans Association. The Medical/Dental Van only comes once a year to our area. If you know of anyone who needs dental or medical care that does not have dental insurance or cannot afford to go to a dentist, please tell them to come to this Medical/Dental Van Ministry. To be seen you need to come early because it is a first come first serve event. If you would like to help with this event, please call Sandra Powell at her home phone # 912-739-1119 or her cell # 912-334-1897. Also, the medical kits for men, women, & children are to be turned in to the Tattnall-Evans Associational Office by March 2, 2017. If you cannot take the kits to the associational office, call Sandra Powell and I will pick them up. Baby Comfort Station will be at the Evans County Wildlife Club on Saturday, March 11th from 10:00 until 6:00, and on Sunday, March 12th from 12:00 until 5:00. If your WMU Ladies would like to work a shift, get in touch with Kathy Hill. The past two months have been very busy for all of our WMU Ladies in this associa-tion. God has been guiding and working with all of us to go out and help others who are in need, and to tell others about Jesus. God is good all the time!!

The sewing class at Eastside Baptist Church is in need of scraps of material. They sew blankets and give
them to the needy. They recently sewed some for the Crisis Center in Ducktown. They can use anything they
can get material out of, such as old sheets, pillowcases, etc. The blankets are lined inside so if the material is
stained, they can still use it. If you have any material or scraps, call Eastside Baptist Church (912-739-2055)
and they will provide you with an available time you can deliver it to the office or you can contact Deborah
Wise (912-334-2794) or Loretta Waters (912-678-5669).

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS
March 5-10, 2017
HER NAME LIVES ON. HER LEGACY STANDS MILLIONS STRONG.
Every year, we honor the life and missions impact of Annie Walker Armstrong (1850-1938) when we give to the Annie
Armstrong Easter Offering® for North American missions. As a tireless servant of God and a contagious advocate of
missions e orts throughout the world, Annie Armstrong united women in missions endeavors, ultimately leading to the
formation of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU). She served as WMU’s - First corresponding secretary. Annie believed
and followed Christ with all her heart, but it was her hands that expressed her belief in tangible ways. A prolific writer,
she spent many hours using her hands to type and handwrite letters in support of missions. Many of these letters were
quite lengthy, and all were motivated by her desire for others to, as she put it, “grow in grace and in the Knowledge of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Annie also used her hands to reach out to others in need, whether by hugging a child
or distributing food, clothing and the Word of God to those in need. Her hands cradled her Bible as she studied how
best to share God’s love with others. Most importantly, as a woman of prayer, Annie regularly folded her hands in pray-
er to intercede for the missionaries and those with whom they shared Christ. Annie once wrote, “If I get hold of an idea
which seems to me to be a good one, I somehow do not feel comfortable until I see it carried out.” As a result of her
persistence, Annie rallied churches to give more, pray more and do more to reach people for Christ. As modern-day
missions advocates unite to continue that work today, we can be encouraged and empowered by following her legacy.

time as families discover the God of the universe and His galactic love for us.
Please let the TEBA office know when your church plans to host this event, so we can share with the rest
