These traits have been influential in the Coaches performances in the sense that both have achieved unprecedented success due to their determination to win. Coach K. was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame due to his exploits as a manager that emanated from his desire and determination to win as well as his compassion and readiness to listen to his players. Coach Knight was also able to come achieve high levels of success due to his aggressive and explosive nature that went well with his determination to win. He transformed Indiana University basketball and produced such great coaches as Coach K., which highlights his success.Therefore, it can be concluded that both coaches were able to come by tremendous success despite their different traits and approaches to coaching. However, Coach K. was the more successful of the two due to his admirable character traits. Coach Knight, on his side, attracted numerous instances of criticism due to his obsession with pushing the students too hard and failing to listen to them. The two cases are perfect examples of managerial and leadership aspects, with Coach K. illuminating the leadership aspect while Coach Knight illuminates the managerial role.
