Dear Colleague,

AIAA is pleased to extend a personal invitation for you to join us at the AerospaceSciences Meeting (ASM), New Horizons Forum, and Aerospace Exposition, to be held 9–12 January 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gaylord Opryland Resort andConvention Center. This year is of particular importance as we look back and celebrate theprevious 50 years of the Aerospace Sciences Meeting.

For 50 years, ASM has brought together aerospace scientists and engineers from aroundthe world to share their ideas and research in a broad array of topics related to aerospacesystems. The meeting is built around excellent technical paper presentations, plenary sessions, exhibits, distinguished lectures, and networking opportunities.

The theme for the New Horizons Forum is “Transforming Air and Space Transportation for the Future.” Keynote speakers from government and industry will share their perspectives onnew challenges, future opportunities, and emerging trends. The Forum will also feature panel

discussions with leaders from industry, government, and academia addressing current issuesand future directions in aerospace technology research and development, as well as in STEMeducation.

The Aerospace Exposition provides an opportunity for companies to display a wide array ofaerospace technology as well as deliver special presentations throughout the day on Tuesdayand Wednesday on the Exposition Hall Presentation Stage.

We are expecting over 2,000 attendees to this year’s conference. You won’t want to missthe special sessions celebrating the 50th Anniversary and the meetings’ historical moments.

We look forward to seeing you in Nashville!
