The customer, F1 Sound Co Ltd based in Kent, who provide various services to the football club contacted The Generator Company after seeing one of our fleet of service vehicles out on the road.
It is a requirement of the Football Association for all premier league stadiums to have floodlights to allow games to be scheduled outside daylight hours. To comply with Premier League guidelines, the club were asked to install a standby generator to support LED floodlight upgrade.
On completion of a site inspection, it was discussed that the best way forward would be to provide a 275kVA Cummins C275D5 standby generator together with an ATS panel and lighting control board. Our scope of works to include full electrical installation and commissioning using the site lighting.
On commencement of the project, we delivered, offloaded with the use of our own hiab and positioned the generator on a prepared base. On completion the ATS panel and a lighting board were installed followed by connections of all cable from the generator to the ATS and lighting board.
On conclusion of the installation works, the generator set and associated equipment were commissioned using the site lighting to ensure all systems performed as required in a mains failure situation.
