this month:

this months designs are mostly teaser posters for films in

production including some big name sequals, As Well as some releases in the upcoming

months.

i've tried to keep some of my designs more alternative and artistic seeing As some new

official designs feel rather uninspired and creativly constricted.

i decided to revisit my older iron man 3

design. i wanted to take the same layout but transfer it to

a higher quality a4 size.obviously the film isn’t in production yet so i’ve got no

visuals to work with.but what i’ve come up with is

something i’m really happy with.

iron man 3

i was a big fan of the first film. yes it was really

cliché, yes it wasn’t the best film in the world, but with that sort of cast it was always go-

ing to work.

so when i saw they were making a sequal and the rumoured cast included the likes of chuck norris and van damme, i was more than ex-

cited.

the expendables 2

i used the logo from the pro-motional stuff from the first film and i wanted to give the poster a clinical but ‘misty/

foggy’ feel.

it’s another teaser poster so i kept it mysterious.

i’ve done.i styled the design in the same way as my old pulp fi-cition poster i chose to add the pink tint as the pink soap features quite heavily in the official promotional material.there’s something about the simplicity of the layout, but the complexity of the imag-es that makes this poster a

winner.

paranormal activity 3

i’ve seen the fist two of the franchise, will i go and see the third? probably not. i don’t get much enjoyment from being made to jump by loud noises and sudden movements for two hours.

i do love a well made prequal though... whether this will be

one is another matter.

opinions aside, the poster i designed was inspired by the trailer that was recently released, with the kids do-

ing the old bloody mary into a mirror thing. creepy.

this design is more ‘fan art’ in some ways but the official posters were lazy to say the

least. seriously google it.

4the film that most thought

might never be made?well at comic con ‘11 spiel-berg goes and confirms it

will be made.luckily they sacked off the potential storyline for dino-saur/human hybrid soldiers.

i went with a basic design for this poster. imdb used the roman numerals for the film, so i went with it for my design. on a more subtle note you might notice the logo has been slashed by 4

claws. 4. eh. get it? 4.

this was my back up design for jurassic park 4.

in the end i decided it would be good as a tribute poster

to the original.it sort of reminds me of an old museum leaflet, which i

guess is fitting.

currently being converted into 3d at the moment top gun is back on the big screen

at some time in 2012.if there was ever a great way to make a whole bunch of money from an old fran-chise is to make some bits come out the screen at you and make you pay to see it

all over again.granted i wasn’t alive when it first came out, so maybe they’ve been quite clever

with this.

i went with the iconic avia-tor sunglasses as the main visual. the blue background was chosen to be represent-ative of the sky. I wanted to keep the colour scheme to just blue and grey to make it

more visually striking.
