LEVEL 42 AT THE LEADENHALL BUILDING

Located high above street level in the heart of the City’s financial district, and serviced by Europe’s fast-est scenic lifts, the venue will offer over 5,000 sq ft of flexible space for conferences, product launches, receptions, parties and dinners. This will be London’s highest exclusive dedicated events venue, offering spectacular views of the river and many of London’s major landmark buildings from its triple-aspect, floor to ceiling windows. As part of Xcite’s extensive fit-out, the venue will be fully-produced with the latest sound and LED lighting systems, creating a turn-key event space.

LUMIERE LONDON

A 2,000 square feet photographic studio space each with high ceilings and bright windows, assisted by highly trained personnel for all kinds of photographic styles – from still life and fashion editorials to cata-logues and advertising. This unique studio can host various types of events.

REGENT STREET CINEMA

The first cinema in the country to show moving pictures has been restored to its original purpose. All the art deco features from the cinema’s first renovation in the 1920s have been restored, as has the build-ing’s domed ceiling and even the original 1936 John Compton organ, used to soundtrack silent films. The new development features a state-of-the-art auditorium as well as an inclusive space for learning, cul-tural exchange and exhibitions.

NEW EVENT SPACES AT THE TATE MODERN

Tate Modern will see the addition of a dramatic new building to the south of the iconic riverside gallery, set to open in 2016. The world’s most visited museum of modern aand contemporary art is growing to become even more open and engaging, enabling Tate to display never-seen-before works from its ever expanding and diverse collection.

16 varied and flexible spaces from intimate drinks reception, all day conferences and parties for up to 1,500. the unique and unforgettable tanks provide striking spaces like no toher in the city and the view-ing terrace with its 360 degree view across the London sky line will take your breath away.

THE QUBE PROJECT Opening October 2015

The Qube Project is a versatile and eclectic venue perfect for all event requirements from receptions to private dining to themed parties, conferencing and club nights. It boasts three individually designed rooms, a bespoke Martin Audio sound system and a roof terrace that offers an incredible view of the London landscape. A bespoke street art installation tells a story throughout the venue, designed by lead-ing London graffiti artists. They kick off with a carefully curated, exclusive series of events, which with creative bespoke set design, DJ booth and dancefloor design and innovative 3D mapping visuals bring a new aesthetic to the capital’s already celebrated nightlife.

Located on the 6th Floor at 2 More London Riverside, The Tower Room offers stunning views and the versa-tility to accommodate a variety of events from con-ference, theatre and cabaret style meetings to corpo-rate events, receptions, product launches and work-shops. IET SAVOY PLACE

Following a 2-year, £30m refurbishment, IET London reopens its doors in autumn 2015, completely transformed and filled with the latest AV and event technology. Key spaces include the Riverside Room for conferences and dinners overlooking the Thames, the Heritage Library and its 2 private balconies for events and receptions sur-rounded by history, and the Main Lecture Theatre with conferencing comfort for 451 as well as live streaming facilities. A brand new roof terrace completes the package with space for over 200 delegates to enjoy the view right across London from St Paul’s Cathedral to the Houses of Parliament.

ABANDONED TUBE STATION

An abandoned Mayfair tube station in which Winston Churchill sheltered during the Blitz is to be brought back to life as an art gallery or a restaurant. Down Street Station, between Hyde Park Corner and Green Park, is the first of seven abandoned stationed now believed to have potential commercial use. Transport for London are hoping the subterranean ‘difficult dark and complex space’ will be used to create ‘something exceptional’.

BANQUETING HOUSE Re- opening 2016

The majestic and magnificent Banqueting House, one of London’s most prestigious events venues, is now due a little TLC. In 2015, it will undergo an important new project of building conservation and restoration work, focusing on cleaning and repairing the grand Portland stonework on the venues fa-çade. An impressive scaffold will be erected to cover the entire building which will be wrapped with a colourful and alluring hoarding, visible from most of Whitehall. Large and vibrant images will depict scenes from the priceless Rubens ceiling within the venue, enticing guests with a taste of what to ex-pect from the inspiring Main Hall on their visit.

NEW SPACES AT QUEEN MARY UNIVERSITY, MILE END CAMPUS

Opening July 2016 is a new 200 seat lecture space, dedicated foyer and café opening onto a landscaped courtyard between the new building and the Great Hall. In addition, there will be a number of breakout rooms on the other floors. The most striking feature, will be a roof top ‘glass box’ featuring floor to ceiling glass with an outdoor terrace available for drinks receptions, net-working and exhibitions.

SKY GARDEN AT 20 FENCHURCH STREET

The Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street is a unique public space that spans three storeys and offers 360 degree uninterrupted views across the City of London. Visitors can wander around the exquisite-ly landscaped gardens, observation decks and an open air terrace of what is London’s highest public garden.

The Sky Garden has been designed to create an open and vibrant place of leisure, offering visitors a rare chance to experience London from a different viewpoint.

THE COOKHOUSE AT BOROUGH MARKET

The Cookhouse offers guests a dining experience with a difference, thanks to its immersive views over the diverse and colourful Market, with its beautiful larder of produce which can be transported from the stall to the stove in moments.

Its contemporary and practical space means that it’s suited to a wide range of uses, including chef’s table dinners, cookery masterclasses, tastings, photo shoots and filming, all of which can be booked for private hire. Its open plan set up offers audiences a clear view of both the preparation and the cooking and features a table large enough to seat at least 10 diners.

ALEXANDRA PALACE REVAMP

Alexandra Palace has been awarded £18.8m of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to restore its historic spaces to their former glory. The Victorian Theatre will be made available for events, accommodating up to 1,300 people, while the BBC studios – the birthplace of high-definition television broadcasts in 1936 – will be turned into an interactive visitor attraction, drawing on the BBC’s archives.

UNDERGROUND GALLERY AND VENUE SPACE IN THAMES TUNNEL SHAFT

The Brunel museum is reconceiving the world’s first under-water tunnel and birthplace of the modern underground system into an impressive performance space for hire. The Rotherhithe entrance shaft to the Thames Tunnel will serve as a venue to museum events and live performance for au-diences of up to 135 people.

CAROUSEL

Three stylish floors playing host to world- renowned chefs and extraordinary events, right in the heart of central Lon-don. Welcome to Carousel. The stylish three- storey venue is home to a unique and varied programme of food, art and cultural events.

BREWER STREET CARPARK

A new venue in the heart of Soho, Brewer Street car park will be the new venue for London Fashion Week from this Septem-ber onwards. Originally designed by archi-tect JJ Joass in 1929, it now hosts audio-visual shows, exhibitions and installations, including the International Fashion Show-case in February.

INTERCONTINENTAL LONDON- O2

A new luxury hotel located in historic Royal Greenwich on the vibrant Greenwich Peninsula. The infamous O2 arena adjoins the hotel via a covered walkway, as well as being minutes from ExCel London on the Emirates Airline cable car. The hotel features 453 spacious guest rooms and suites spread over 18 floors. The hotel has over 20 meeting rooms. Restaurants and Bars have been designed as destination venues, with an impressive line up of all day dining and fine dining options, as well as a main bar and Tea Salon to perfectly complement the Sky Bar within its mix of vibrant and relaxing entertainment spaces.

CITIZEN M TOWER OF LONDON

CitizenM Tower of London hotel offers 370 bedrooms over eight floors above Tower Hill London Underground Sta-tion. A ground floor cafe and gallery, bar, living room spaces and a SocietyM business club on the eighth and ninth levels complete the package.

HILTON LONDON BANKSIDE

The Hilton London Bankside is moments from Tate Modern close to Borough Market, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The hotel will have 292 contemporary rooms and suites, exquisite dining which includes a restaurant with show kitchen and 10 meeting and event rooms.

FOUR SEASONS TRINITY SQUARE

The former Port of London Authority building has been redeveloped as one of the most exclusive addresses in Lon-don. With 98 guestrooms and suites, the site of Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will also include 41 private residences

TOBACCO DOCK HOTEL Opening late 2017

To the north of the historic Tobacco Dock, the Tobacco Dock Hotel will include 242 fully serviced hotel rooms and 63 apartments, restaurant and cafe facing a publicly accessible piazza. The design features a dramatic six storey entrance atrium and interiors also reference the docks' original use as a warehouse for tobacco, wines, wool, and animal skins in the 1800s.

HIGHGATE HOLDINGS COMES TO LONDON

The NY Hotel Giant is starting its 20-hotel portfolio with a 30-storey iconic building on Shoreditch High Street, opening at the end of 2018. At the heart of the Highgate scheme is a 200-bedroom luxury hotel which will include 100,000 sq feet of office space as well as retail and leisure spaces, a ground-floor market and a sky lounge.

LONDON SUITES AT THE MARYLEBONE HOTEL

As the new brasserie opens, The Marylebone Hotel opens these new top-floor spaces available for private hire from May 2015. Each suite has a sizeable terrace with a retractable roof for drinks and views. The largest space, The Marylebone, incorporates a separate bar and dining area.

GLH HOTELS

GLH Hotels, a subsidiary of Singapore-based GuocoLeisure, has announced plans to open a hotel in London under its new Thistle Express brand. The firm’s new value hotel concept will offer modern bedrooms and super-fast un-limited free Wi-Fi for its guests. The first Thistle Express hotel will open in 2016 with plans to open a further 10 sites by 2020.

EVERY HOTELS

The 83-bedroom Every Hotel Piccadilly has been retagged from the former Thistle Piccadilly hotel, intending to offer limited service within the four-star market. Bedrooms feature Hypnos beds, rainfall showers, Smart TVs, Nespresso coffee machines and complimentary soft drinks mini bar, with free Wi-Fi.

THE GREAT SCOTLAND YARD

Lulu Group International has agreed a £110m deal to open a five star, super luxury hotel in the Great Scotland yard building in 2017.

LES DEUX SALONS

Sir Terence Conran has made a remarkable gastronomic return to Theatreland with his version of a Parisian Rive Gauche brasserie near Trafalgar square. The 240-seat all-day destination has a café, bistro, bar and epicerie on the ground floor, and a more formal restaurant including private dining space on the first floor.

SMITH & WOLLENSKY

The boutique steakhouse’s first opening in London has opened in the historic Grade II-listed Adelphi Building off the Strand, where visitors can expect the restaurant’s same brand of warm American hospitality, together with a menu of signature USDA Prime dry-aged steaks alongside Scottish cuts, premium seafood, award-winning wines and clas-sic cocktails.

NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY

Time to get your art on! The Portrait Restaurant’s airy new interiors have been designed by Linda Turner featuring a stone and bronze bar, giving way to charcoal grey banquettes and chairs offset by accents of bronze, while some suitably arty vertical fins – floating between the ceiling and floor – give tables a bit more privacy.

SKY GARDENS AT 2-0 FENCHURCH STREET (THE WALKIE-TALKIE)

The Sky Gardens features three restaurants options. Sky Pod, on the Sky Garden’s main level serves snacks and platters from breakfast to dinner in a large spacious area with striking 360 degree views of London’s stunning skyline and iconic landmarks; Darwin Brasserie on 36th floor and the Fenchurch Seafood bar and Grill on the 37th floor. The Darwin Brasserie overlooks the river, and probably boasts the Sky Garden’s best views; and the Fenchurch Seafood Bar & Grill specialises in oysters, seafood platters and caviar. There is daily access to an al fresco strip, while the rest of the space is sufficiently glass-clad and greenery-filled to do a similar job. There’s also live music in the form of a series of ‘sky high sessions’.

IVY CHELSEA GARDEN

After many years of only having one outpost in London, the Ivy is stretching its legs and continuing to expand across London. Only late last year they launched the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden and now they're heading west to the King's Road for the very alfresco-y Ivy Chelsea Garden.

PERCY AND FOUNDERS

This is the latest from the Open House who are opening a huge restaurant seating 200 people in the newly revamped Fitzroy Square in Fitzrovia. It'll also have three separate bar areas and serve food with "locally, sustainably sourced and artisan-prepared ingredients and will be run by Diego Cardoso, the former Head Chef of Murano.

THE CULPEPER KITCHEN

The team behind the Princess Alice in Spitalfields have created their latest venture with Sandy Jarvis, former chef at Terriors off Trafalgar Square. The trio, dedicated to transforming buildings for their better enjoyment and relevance have used high windows, distinctive colour choices and a connecting light well to create a chic space that still reflects Spitalfields’ East End roots. The daily changing menu also includes three main courses for sharing in the first floor res-taurant, and smaller bar food options on the ground floor. Come summer the roof top will be growing herbs leaves, and vegetables, and the greenhouse dining room will be open as well as five bedrooms.

DUCK + RICE

Alan Yau, founder of Wagamama, Yauatcha and Hakkasan has opened a long awaited Chinese Gastropub in Berwick Street. With an extensive food and drink menu, smaller ‘pub snacks’ are available downstairs, and a formal restau-rant with more luxurious offerings is situated upstairs.

GERMAN GYMNASIUM

D&D London will open the German Gymnasium in Kings Cross. The former home to the German Gymnastics Society in London is being redeveloped to create a ground floor 150-cover brasserie and bar with outdoor terraces. There will also be a smaller restaurant and private dining area on a mezzanine level.

The Shard has partnered with virtual reality content provider Visualise to create the experience for Samsung Gear VR headsets, which transports users to the top of The Shard to experience a 360-degree video time-lapse captured over 48 hours, comparable to standing 1,000 feet above London. Revealed ahead of Lon-don’s highest viewing platform's second anniversary on 1 February 2015, the virtual view is the first of its kind for a UK landmark.
