Hybrid Hull: Ultimate Speed, Range, and ComfortThere are many components to this highly engineered design that come together in harmony to create the ultimate hull. Unlike any that have come before her, painstaking efforts were made to develop the world’s first true hybrid hull shape to provide high speed, while maintaining displacement-hull efficiency, and the ability to conquer rough Gulf Stream seas with a very soft ride. Real world cruising with the standard 1,650hp CAT C-32s has consistently delivered a cruising speed of 23 knots (@ 75% load), while consuming only 12.5gph of fuel at 9 knots (3,000nm range). Stability and handling characteristics are a standout in all sea directions in the widest range of speeds previously unimaginable. A sharp bow cuts like a knife in head seas and smoothly diffuses the impact of quartering seas along the soft chines. Her roll is minimized in beam seas by her low center of gravity which, in unison with her hull-protective keel maintains a rock-steady course without wallowing in following seas.
