Exchange profile 2: thesis research Students enrolled in a second-cycle degree programme or in the last two years of a Single cycle degree/Combined Bachelor and Master (LMCU) programme, who are interested in carrying out research for their final thesis, may apply for this exchange profile. They should include an authorisation from their UNIBO supervisor in the documentation accompanying their application. The subject of their thesis must consider Argentina or South America as a relevant area for empirical research or collaboration with institutions, businesses or local universities. Students are expected to prepare their application procedure and to find a supervisor at the host institution autonomously; they must provide a proof of this, released from the host institution (e-mail or letter). Moreover, students who apply for the Exchange Profile 2 (Thesis research) are required to present a Learning Agreement as well. At the end of the exchange period, students must provide proof of the research activities carried out through a letter or e-mail signed by their supervisor at the host institution. Exchange profile 1: course attendance Duration One semester (either 2nd or 1st). They should include an authorisation from their UNIBO supervisor in the documentation accompanying their application. The subject of their thesis must consider Argentina or South America as a relevant area for empirical research or collaboration with institutions, businesses or local universities. Students are expected to prepare their application procedure and to find a supervisor at the host institution autonomously; they must provide a proof of this, released from the host institution (e-mail or letter). Exchange profile 1: language assistant Overseas Student Assistants provide assistance with the teaching activities for of Italian translation courses. Places are only available to students of the School of Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation whose first language is Spanish. At the time of application, students must be enrolled in a second-cycle degree programme or in the third year of a first-cycle degree programme. In the latter case, students may apply only if they declare that they will be enrolled in the first year of a second-cycle degree programme during the exchange period. Language Requirements The Universidad Nacional de Córdoba requires a Spanish language proficiency level of B2 (or above), to be proved through a CELU, DELE certification Students who do not have any of these certificates must sit the CELU exam for the required level on location. Exchange profile 1: course attendance Duration One semester (either 2nd or 1st). Schools or Colleges open to Exchange Students Only grado courses (a grado degree programme lasts four or five years) from following Schools are available to exchange students: Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, Ciencias Sociales, Filosofìa y Letras, Facultad de Tierra y Mar and Ciencias de la Salud (attention: exchange students may attend exclusively Veterinary Medicine courses from this School). Posgrado courses as Maestria and Doctorado are not available for exchange students. Limitations The exchange is open to students enrolled in a first- or second-cycle degree programme. Students enrolled in the School of Medicine or in the School of Dentistry are not eligible. Language Requirements A Spanish language proficiency level of B1 (or above) is required, as per the standards of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Proof of language proficiency can be provided through sitting the Overseas language test at the Language Centre CLA or through a certificate (see www.unibo.it/overseas). Exchange profile 2: thesis research Students enrolled in a second-cycle degree programme or in the last two years of a Single cycle degree/Combined Bachelor and Master (LMCU) programme, who are interested in carrying out research for their final thesis, may apply for this exchange profile. They should include an authorisation from their UNIBO supervisor in the documentation accompanying their application. The subject of their thesis must consider Costa Rica or Central America as a relevant area for empirical research or collaboration with institutions, businesses or local universities. Students are expected to prepare their application procedure and to find a supervisor at the host institution autonomously; they must provide a proof of this, released from the host institution (e-mail or letter). Moreover, students who apply for the Exchange Profile 2 (Thesis research) are required to present a Learning Agreement as well. At the end of the exchange period, students must provide proof of the research activities carried out through a letter or e-mail signed by their supervisor at the host institution. Limitations Only students enrolled in a second-cycle degree programme or in the last two years of a Single cycle degree/Combined Bachelor and Master (LMCU) programme may apply. Schools or Colleges open to Exchange Students Selected students can carry out their mobility period in the campus of Monterrey, Guadalajara or Estado de Mexico. The following Faculties are available in Spanish: Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, Comunicación y Periodismo, Ingenieria y Ciencias, Negocios y Administración, Tecnologías de Información y Electrónica, Arquitectura and Ciencias de la Salud. Courses in English are available only in the Guadalajara Campus for the following fields of study: Humanities and Social Sciences and Engineering and Architecture. Limitations The exchange is open to students enrolled in a first- or second-cycle degree programme. Please check the Course Catalogue of the Host University for restrictions before the application. Students enrolled in the School of Medicine or in the School of Dentistry are not eligible.
