    Why the Arctic?

Toll Free (North America): 1.888.737.6818 International: +1.416.322.7

Either you love the Arctic, or you have never been there.

    Come all in love.

    Wildlie Mecca

Likened to the Serengeti, the Arctic is a wildlife enthusiasts haven. Ivory-tusked Narwhal, grinning

belugas, majestic bowhead whales, thousands of migratory birds, to name a few the Arctic is teeming

with animals. You just need to know when and where to go.

    Thats where we come in.

Our expert guides and local knowledge allow us to match ideal locations with the best time of year. The

result? The best chance to get up close and personal with Arctic wildlife.

Culturally RichFor thousands of years, Inuit have survived and thrived in this often harsh environment. Immerse yourself

and discover the Inuit way of life.

    Arctic Summer Warmth

In spring (May/June) the Arctic reawakens with blooming exotic purple saxifrage owers and massive

migrations of birds and whales. Summer brings ne days where t-shirt clad travellers bask on sun-kissed

ice. It might drop below freezing that night, but we enjoy our Arctic summer days when we get them!

    Think Arican Saariin the Arctic

Our land based trips are operated from either cabins, lodges or luxury safari style

tented camps complete with wooden oors, heaters, electricity, super comfortable

beds, goose down duvets, ample standing room, etc. they are located on the sea

ice a safe distance from the oe edge, or on a at expanse of pebbly beach. Many of

these locations have been used by Inuit for generations and are still used to this day.

These remote camps are ready for you upon arrival and designed to provide you withultimate comfort and functionality.

Our custom built base camps vary but typically consist of a kitchen structure for

Separate washroom facilities provide a private spot to freshen up with running water,

    washbasins and hot showers.

    Close partnerships with local communities

Each trip begins in a local Inuit community, where we meet soap stone carvers, Inuit

clothing. Here you can ease into the Arctic environment welcomed by the friendly,

    local community.

Arctic Kingdom local guides and elders have been travelling and living on the land

all their lives. This knowledge is built into every one of our trips. We combine this

. Arrival should be around 1PM at the base camp.

s, lakes and large tracts of open tundra. We will use

base camp to search for the caribou crossings

day. There should be opportunities to witness

her caribou with calves, large male caribou with

t racks that are at their peak condition and size.

ded by local Inuit guides who have hunted and

ived off the caribou for 1000s of years, we can

ch as they track, and follow the caribou for the best

photography opportunities. We will also conduct

short hikes on the colourful tundra. In most cases,

the caribou are not startled by our presence and will

approach on their own out of curiosity where we are

close enough that we can listen to them breathe and

    look directly into their eyes.

During your time here, we should also have a chance

of seeing muskox, arctic wolf, and arctic fox. If we are

lucky, this is also the home of black bears and we may

see one or more. Wolverines are also possible.

The prime northern lights band is at 60 degrees

latitude. The base camp, situated on the beach of a

fresh water lake, sits directly beneath this main band of

northern lights occurrences giving us a high probability

    of seeing them nightly.

We went to Nunavut to see Polar Bears, but ended up falling in love with the Tundra as well.

We ate berries that hugged the Tundra, discovered mushrooms in the middle of elds, heardthe eerie sound of whipping winds grazing the Tundra, and when the sun came out, you were

standing in a eld of dazzling diamond sparkles in the snow. Nunavut is a place that takes your
