MAKING A CONNECTION

Cut the tubing to length using the Sea Tech tubing cutter or similar. Slight pressure as if to twist the cutter around the tubing will aid cutting.

1 Cut the tubing square using a proper tube cutter. It is essential that the outside diameter of the tubing be free of scratches and damage. The outer surface of the tube needs to be smooth and clean.

2 Mark the insertion depth on the tubing end. Sea Tech con-nectors have an insertion depth line molded onto the outside of the connector bodies.

3 Push thetubing into the connector until the insertion

mark on the tubing meets the edge of the connector collet.

4 Make certain to push the tub-ing completely into the connec-tor until it comes into contact with the internal tubing stop.

55 To disconnect ensure the sys-tem is depressur-ized before removing connectors. Push the collet in squarely against the face of the fitting. With the collet held in this position, tubing can be removed. The connectors can then be re-used.

ROTATES UNDER PRESSURE!

After a joint is made the tubing can still swivel while con-nected, even under maxi-

mum pressure. The connector’s ability to rotate under pressure makes it the ideal connector for vibrating and dynamic applications.
