This meeting is being held in conformity to the Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq. Properpublic notice of the meeting was published in the local papers on March 5 and March 6, 2011.
If any Board member or member of the public in attendance believes that the meeting is in violation ofthe Open Public Meetings Act, the Hoboken Board of Education requests that they make a statement at
this time.
The Board wishes to make those in attendance aware that this meeting is being recorded on video and willbe broadcast by the Board at a later date on CATV Channel 77.

1. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend a change in our 2010-2011school calendar due to the closing of the district for (3) snow days. The last day of
school will be June 22, 2011 with the last two days being half day sessions (June 21 and
June 22, 2011). June 16, June 17, and June 20, 2011 will be full day sessions.
2. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromVeronica M. Scappatori, teacher at Wallace School, that the Board accept her resignationfor the purpose of retirement effective May 1, 2011. The Board expresses appreciation to
Ms. Scappatori for her dedicated service to the children of Hoboken. TCH.WA.ELEM.19

3. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromBartholomew Reilly, Principal at Wallace School, that the Board accept his resignation

4. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the Board rescind resolution #11 on the Stated Session agenda of March 8, 2011, regarding the appointment of
Alexander Amar as a part-time custodian.
5. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromIrene LaBruzza, School Nurse at Hoboken High School, that the Board accept her
resignation for purpose of retirement effective July 1, 2011. The Board hereby expresses
appreciation to Mrs. LaBruzza for her dedicated service to the children of Hoboken.

7. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend approval for Hoboken HighSchool Student Center to enter into a contract with HOPES CAP, to provideempowerment workshops to the Hoboken High School students during the 2010-2011
school year. Workshops will consist of (8) 1.5 hour weekly after school sessions, during
the months of April through June. Start date will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011; ending
date June 6, 2011. Sessions will be on Monday except for the first one. It is offered free
of charge to the students. Costs will include miscellaneous expenses such as snacks for
the students in the approximate amount of $100, to be taken from SBYSP grant line: 20-
436-200-800-13-0251-000.
8. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromJennifer Wetzel, that she will return to a teaching position in the district as of September
1, 2011.
9. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the termination of BienvenidoCueto as Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2010-2011 School Year.
10. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromKenneth Turso, 6th grade Social Studies Teacher at Connors School, that the Board accept
his resignation for the purpose of retirement effective July 1, 2011. The Board expresses
appreciation to Mr. Turso for his dedicated service to the children of Hoboken.

12. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the acceptance of the 2010-2012 Hoboken District Professional Development Plan.
13. Submitting for review and approval, I am hereby recommending the appointment of Ms.Veronica Ramos as substitute for Connors Elementary Schools co-curricular activities
for the Monday after school program to be used as necessary. Compensation will be as
per HEA contract. Funding will be provided through line account number: 15-401-100-
100-09-1903-000.

15. Submitting for review and approval, I am hereby recommending the appointment ofJoshua Carmona as a part-time Highly Qualified Teacher Aide with a rate of pay at $13
per hour effective April 18, 2011 and ending June 30, 2011 for the 2010-2011 School
Year. This appointment is needed for a classified student attending Hoboken High
School who requires a one-on-one aide. (AID.FL.ICAP.22) (11-000-217-100-20-0000-
000)
16. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the acceptance of theresignation of David J. Rivera, bus aide effective March 22, 2011. AID.FL.TRAD.11

17. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend based on communication fromPasqua Cioce, transportation aide/security guard, that the Board accept her resignation for
the purpose of retirement effective May 1, 2011. The Board hereby expresses
appreciation to Ms. Cioce for her dedicated service to the children of Hoboken.

18. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend the appointment of Mr. JorgeRodriguez, Sr., as a Custodian assigned to Hoboken High School effective April 18, 2011
through June 30, 2011 for the 2010-2011 School Year. Mr. Rodriguez will be replacing
Anthony J. Ocello a Custodian terminated on the March 8, 2011 agenda. Salary as per
HEA contract Step 1 for $23,030. CUS.FL.CUSF.03 (11-000-262-100-13-1044-000).
19. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend Ms. Yveliss Martinez for theposition of part time Bus Aide at $8.50 an hour pending original background check and
physical examination results. Ms. Martinez will be replacing Pasqua Cioce a part time
Bus Aide who will be retiring effective May 1, 2011. AID.FL.TRAD.17 (11-000-270-

20. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby recommend Ms. Marilyn Morales for theposition of part time Bus Aide at $8.50 an hour, 3 hours a day pending original

29. Submitting for review and approval, I hereby request permission for Hoboken HighSchool Emergency Response Team to enter into a partnership with Liberty Health JerseyCity Medical Center. Jersey City Medical Center would like to donate $2,000 to the
Hoboken High School Emergency Response Team to establish EMT scholarshipprogram. There is no cost to the Hoboken School District for this partnership.

1. TD Bank, N.A. (the Bank) is designated as a depository for the funds of theBoard and to provide other financial accommodations indicated in this resolution.2. This resolution shall continue to have effect until express written notice of its
rescission or modification has been received and recorded by the Bank. Any andall prior resolutions adopted by the President and Members of the Board andcertified to the Bank as governing the operation of this Boards account(s) are infull force and effect, until the Bank received and acknowledges an expresswritten notice of its revocation, modification or replacement. Any revocation,modification or replacement of a resolution must be accompanied bydocumentation, satisfactory to the Bank, establishing the authority for thechanges.
3. The signatures of the Board Secretary and School Business Administrator on thisresolution are conclusive evidence of their authority to act on behalf of theGovernment Unit. The Board Secretary or School Business Administrator, solong as he acts in a representative capacity as agent of the Board, is authorized tomake any and all other contracts, agreements, stipulations and orders which theymay deem advisable for the effective exercise of the powers indicated on pageone, from time to time with the Bank, subject to any restrictions on thisresolution or otherwise agreed to in writing. Board approval, via a duly adoptedresolution, is required for all matters so promulgated by State statute orregulations, or as designated by Board policy or regulations.

All transactions, if any, with respect to any deposits, withdrawals, rediscountsand borrowings by or on behalf of the Board with the Bank prior to the adoptionof this resolution are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
5. The Board agrees to the terms and conditions of any account agreement, properlyopened by the Board Secretary. The Board authorizes the Bank, at any time, tocharge the Governmental Unit for all checks, drafts, or other orders, for thepayment of money, that are drawn on the Bank, so long as they contain therequired signature for this purpose.
6. Except as prohibited by State statute or regulation, or by Board policy orregulations, the Board acknowledges and agrees that the Bank may furnish at its
discretion automated access devices to Agents of the Board to facilitate thosepowers authorized by this resolution or other resolutions in effect at the time ofissuance. The term automated access device includes, but is not limited to,credit cards, automated teller machines (ATM), and debit cards.
7. The Board acknowledges and agrees that the Bank may rely on alternativesignature and verification codes issued to or obtained from the Agents named onthis resolution. The term alternative signature and verification codes includes,but is not limited to, facsimile signatures on file with the Bank, personal

identification numbers (PIN), and digital signatures. The Board authorizes each Agent tohave custody of the Boards private key used to create a digital signature and torequest issuance of a certificate listing the corresponding public key.
