ABOUT US

Malaria No More envisions a world where no onedies from a mosquito bite. More than a decadeinto our mission, our work has contributed tohistoric progress toward this goal. Now, we’remobilizing the political commitment, funding, andinnovation required to achieve what would be oneof the greatest humanitarian accomplishments –ending malaria within our generation.

Malaria No More leads a global movement that is determined to make this the generation that ends malariafor good. To realise this ambitious but achievable goal, our team works to mobilize government, influencers, businesses and the public, inspiring them to contribute funds, energy, innovation, and resources to helpmake malaria no more.

Since its founding in 2006 at the White House Malaria Summit hosted by President George W. Bush,Malaria No More has been a leading voice in global efforts to end the world’s oldest deadliest disease, malaria. With offices and affiliates in the United States, United Kingdom, Kenya, Cameroon, Japan, andmost recently India, MNM works closely with key stakeholders and influencers to generate the political willand resources necessary to end malaria within a generation.

Since 2000, Malaria No More has helped increase funding from donor governments by 1000%, resulting inmore than 7 million lives saved and 1.5 billion malaria cases averted. Building on this success, the globalcampaign has evolved from one of “malaria control” (bringing down deaths) to the realistic prospect ofglobal malaria eradication. This ambition is outlined in From Aspiration to Action, a business plan to endmalaria by 2040 that was developed by Malaria No More and authored by Bill Gates and our co-founderRay Chambers. Over the past decade, MNM has been focused principally on mobilizing resources fromdonor governments (US, UK, Japan, Global Fund), but in order to achieve eradication, we need malariaendemic countries to expand their domestic funding commitments. As a result, we are expanding ouroperations to malaria endemic countries, with a special focus on India, the Americas, and Nigeria.

The global malaria fight is emerging as the biggest public health success story in a generation, and fightingmalaria is ranked as one of the most cost-effective global health interventions. We are recruiting a group ofleaders who can help MNM fulfil its mission in this next phase of making possible the end of this diseasewithin a generation.

We have highly specialized teams with deep experience in advocacy, policy, communications and financingthat drive meaningful and lasting impact in the malaria campaign. MNM works closely with the U.S. andU.K. governments, and increasingly with leaders of malaria affected countries in Africa, Asia and LatinAmerica, to engage, influence, and support policy makers to increase government investments in endingmalaria.

We raise awareness and create a sense of urgency amongst global leaders and policy makers, workingwith top media outlets and influential voices in key countries and globally to increase awareness, createaccountability, and energize the malaria fight.
