REQUIREMENTS FOR COURSE CARDS, CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMAS

~ COURSE CARDS ~

Adult All courses are standardized with numbers preceding the course. The minimum credit hours in Leadership Education for a credit card (orange) is 10 hours in class and 10 hours out-of-class work. Youth A course card (blue) will be issued to each student 11 years of age and under. *Reading is required for all Certificates and Diplomas (See Graduation Applications). First Certificate Eight (8) Course Cards are required: (B113-Christian Stewardship; B111- Knowing the Old Testament; B112- Living the New Testament;

B142- Christian Evangelism; B050- Missionary Education in the Local Church; B180 Baptist Doctrine; B104-How to Read and Study the Bible; B110 Christian Discipleship).

Second Certificate Fourteen (14) Course Cards are required. Third Certificate Twenty (20) Course Cards are required. Advance Certificate Thirty (30) Course Cards are required

DIPLOMA OF RECOGNITION (An Oral Exam is required for each diploma)

First Diploma Thirty-six (36) Course Cards are required and presentation of statement of 20 years work in the church or related religious organization. Second Diploma Forty-two (42) Course Cards; laboratory experience \; workshop training and 12 hours of

assigned clinical research training in special leadership education field are required. Gold Star Diploma Sixty (60) Course Cards; 20 hours of assigned research; 15 years of Christian experience in church work or related field and preparation Of a “Mini-Thesis” or a special assigned subject are required. The Sunday School Certificate and License are awarded to students in recognition of the completion of all requirements leading to the Third Certificate of Progress; required Sunday School courses; and their having passed a written or oral examination.

~AWARD~

The Marshall A. Talley Award – A service award presented annually to a person who has served over and beyond the call of duty in the area of Christian Education. These Course Cards, Certificates, Diplomas and Awards are issued directly from the Board of Education & Publication upon certification of the fulfillment of all prescribed requirements.
