County Legion And YAF Plan Huge Motorcade The Suffolk County American Legion and the newly-formed Suf- folk County Young Americans for freedom (YAF) will jo:n forces in a motorcade through Suffolk September 7 , it was announced to- day b y Peter Moskwa of Sayville, county commander of the Legion , and Lee North of Prightwators, vice-chairman of the County YAF chapter. The motorcade will start in Ri- verhead and terminate at tin (Jar- den Cit y Ho,el in Xa^s.iu , where a giant "Non-Admission of Red China to the United Nations " ral y is being sponsored b y th' 1 Nassau branch of YAF. Princi pal speaker will be the Honorable Ro- land Liem. representative of Na- tionalist China at the UX. Commander Moskwa inviled all freedom-loving peop le in Ihe coun- ty, regardless of political affixa- tion , to join in the motorcade and rall y. "There must be many peo- p le io Suffolk County who agnv with us that the butchers of the Chinese and Tibetan people cer- tainly deserve no recognition or consideration, and we arc- asking these Suffolk Countians to join m a tremendous show oi bi-parti- san unit y that will reverbt rate all the wav to the halls of Congress , the White House , and the UN. If our motorcade is large enough , and spirited enough , " Moskwa contin- ued , "we may even servo to re- mind peop le of what happened in Hungary. Poland , Czechoslovakia , ad infinitum , facts that some of cur own officials in both Washing- ton and the UN seem to want us to forget. We are appealing to these people to shake their apath y and let us know as soon as pos- sible that they will join the motor- cade and the rall y. " The motorcade will have three se ctions , as follows : (1) a section stalling at the parking lot of the County Centi r in Riverhead and proceeding west on Jericho turn- pike; (2) a section which will join group one at the Jericho-Veteran- Memorial Highway intersection: and ( ' .)) people in the western por- tion of the county, who will join the motorcade at the intersection of Jericho and Route 110 in Hun- tington. Since the meeting at Jer- icho and Veteran-: Memorial High- way is scheduled to take place no later than 7 p. m.. NP Gir l Lacerates Leg on Coffee Can A nine-year-old North Patchogue girl had 32 stitches taken in her left leg Friday after cutting her- self on a coffee can in a wading pool at her home. Fifth Precinct Vatrolman Nelson L. Collins , Jr., transported Martha Gwen Zollo of 84 Log Road to the emergency room of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital , East Patch- ogue , where she was treated by Dr. Shea and released. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Zollo. Police said the youngster who will be 10 next month slid down a slide into the pool and fell on the coffee can. Under the impact, police said , the removeable edge of the can came off and the sharp edge lacerated her leg.
