Coal rejects generated shall be used for power generation in the reject based power plant owned by the company. ACB (India) Ltd., along with its subsidiaries and associates, has set up thermal power generation units in nearby areas with an installed capacity of 1390 MW where these coals rejects after proper blending can be utilized.

The liquid effluents are treated through a five stage clarification system which is an integral part of the washery. The domestic sewage is routed to a septic tank followed by soak pit constructed as per BIS specification.

Yes The outside employees will be accommodated in the colony. Most of the unskilled workers will be from nearby villages.

Yes The existing road in the vicinity is used. However, new internal road have been made.

Transportation of personnel and materials for construction have been done through the existing road network. During operation the work force are commuting by company transport and the road network is adequate to take the slight increase in the traffic load which is limited only during the construction. There is no increase in the coal traffic as the coal which was already moving to the siding otherwise unwashed is being intercepted through the washery and washed coal sent to the customers.

As per EC condition construction of closed conveyor system is under process for transport of Washed coal to railway siding.

The power requirement of 5.0 MTPA washery is 2.2 MVA.

Power is being provided by the Odisha State Electricity Board (OSEB) subsidiary known as WESCO. The power is taken from Remja substation which is 28 Kms from the washery site. Voltage level of the power provided by the

The Project area under reference is a plain area. The contour of the 15 km radius area varies from 256 m aMSL tp 300 m aMSL. There is no Ecologically Sensitive area as per Hon’ble Supreme Court Civil writ petition No.460 of 2004.

There is no national park/wild life sanctuary/biosphere reserve/ tiger reserve/ elephant reserve in the core (project area) and buffer zone (10 km radius of the project area).

Barghumra Reserve forest is at a distance of 50 meters from the project site towards south.

Garjan Pahar Reserve Forest is towards west of project site at a distance of 560 meters.

Chhengapahar Reserve Forest is at distance of 380 meters towards east of project site and 100 .00 meters towards north of project site.
