The meeting started at 6:00 PM led by Bro. Mark Dominic Lastimoso who presided the meeting. A. TAMBAYAN REHABILITATION This is in reaction to the decline of the quality of the APO Tambayan inside Velez College, located in front of Annex 100 and the hospital Morgue. The APO Tambayan currently does not have the benches unlike before. The old benches were placed in front of the morgue and are now rusting. The Tambayan currently has only one bulletin board with glass. Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso proposed that we have a tambayan that will be interactive enough to attract possible recruits. Bro Ebenezer Daryl Manzano suggested that we need to have a list of the things that we can improve in the tambayan so that we can start the canvassing and for the fund raising. Sis Sandra Matsuzaki pointed out the need to have wooden chairs not iron chairs to prevent the rust from staining the students’ white uniform. **Pictures of the tambayan will be posted in the Facebook groups soon Hereunder is the list of things needed for the APO Tambayan:
1. Additional Bulletin boards 2. New (wooden) Chairs 3. Repainting of the roof 4. Leveling of the ground surrounding the tambayan

B. CHAPTER ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES This year’s chapter anniversary will fall on a Thursday, July 17, 2014. Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso suggested that we have the celebration of the Chapter Anniversary moved to the nearest Saturday on July 19, 2014 so that we can accommodate more brothers and sisters. He further suggested that the chapter will still celebrate on July 17, 2014 with brothers and sisters from other chapters and we have at the FOOD PARK (near the ASB or new Velez Building) so that students would see us get together and we could also entice them to join our fraternity and sorority. Bro Ebenezer Daryl Manzano pointed out the need to have a grand service for the celebration of the chapter anniversary. Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso suggested that we have on the morning of the Saturday celebration. Bro Edmund Alfred Ang further suggested that we have on the Saturday before the celebration or on July 12, 2014 to afford time to the brothers and sisters who would be present in the service to change and freshen up for the occasion. The body agreed. The body decided that the chapter should have a Medical-‐Dental Mission on July 12, 2014 (Saturday) at 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Barangay Cogon Ramos Gymnasium as the body has identified the community suitable for the service due to the location of the school to the venue and it is the adopted community of the Community Extension service of Velez College. A letter will be sent out the Barangay officials asking for the availability of the venue and for gathering the 50 patients (either pediatric or adult patients) for the event. Letters will be sent to our brothers and sisters for the physical and financial help to help ensure the success of this event. In time for the celebration of the anniversary, Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso proposed that we have a uniform polo shirt for the chapter. Below is the proposed design of the shirt:
*Front design has the APO Torch logo (please disregard the blue background) and the Chapter name and back part has the address of the Velez APO Facebook page. (design is for display purpose, minor details will be attended to during finalization) Pricing for the shirt is yet to be determined.

C. SEM-‐ENDER ACTIVITY
The yearly sem-‐ender gathering of Alpha Xi has been held at the Velez Family Summer Residence at San Remegio for the past years. Bro Josef Manguilimotan proposed that we could have a venue near the City so that we can have more brothers and sisters to attend. A proposal of the Catmon cottage worth PhP 10,000 was introduced by Bro Edmund Alfred Ang, the venue has an infinity pool and facilities for cooking. However the body decided to adhere to the default venue noting that there is no more time to solicit for the funds for the sem-‐ender and that we can spend more for our recruitment activities and services.
The body decided that we should meet at 5:30 AM at the Velez College on March 3, 2014 so that we could maximize our time in the venue. We would be tentatively be using public transportation however Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso said that Bro Teodoro Jon Velez may possibly bring their Starex van to San Remegio.
Details for the Sem-‐ender activity will be discussed next week over Facebook or through text brigade.
D. SUMMER SERVICE
A summer service was proposed by Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso, specifically a repainting of a waiting shed. Sis Sandra Matsuzaki volunteered the shed near their house in Mactan for repainting. The body decided that it should be Sis Mary Rosely Perez who should spearhead this activity as a requirement for her to be a full fledged member of Alpha Phi Omega.
There was no date set for the repainting but Sis Mary Rosely Perez should follow up with Sis Sandra Matsuzaki for this service.
E. RECRUITMENT
SUMMER: Start of traditional recruitment (flyering) will be on the first day of Summer class of Velez College that will be on April 14, 2014. Brothers and sister who are free from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM are requested to come to Velez College to help with the flyering. FIRST SEMESTER: Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso proposed that we could have a book covering done for the students. We would be partnering with the Supreme Student Council of Velez College for this venture. The goal is to spread information about Alpha Phi Omega through the bookmarks that would be given after the book covering. Sis Tina Montecillo and Sis Vanessa Dizon-‐Toralba volunteered to cover the books in their free time. Bro Edmund Alfred Ang volunteered to cover the expenses for the plastic cover and the tapes that will be used for the book cover. A Starter Kit has also been proposed by Bro Josef Manguilimotan in which we could put vital information on surviving life in Velez College, this would be helpful specially to the students who do not reside in Cebu. The starter kit will contain the telephone numbers of key establishments like restaurants, hospitals, and routes to important destinations here in Cebu. It was additionally proposed that we sell the space or the “contacts” or the telephone numbers so that we could also raise funds for the chapter.

F. CHAPTER FUNDS
A proposal for the collection of a weekly or monthly chapter fee was raised by Bro Mark Dominic Lastimoso. Sis Vanessa Dizon-‐Toralba proposed that the alumni would have it done monthly because they might not be able to attend the weekly meetings. The body decided that a fee of PhP 50.00/week be collected both for residents and alumni, making the monthly contribution Php 200.00. Bro Ebenezer Daryl Manzano proposed that we have a spreadsheet made so that we can possibly view the payments that are to be due in the chapter, all activities included. It was also discussed by the body that there will be an assigned collector for the alumni and residents who will not be able to attend the meetings at least once a month. Sis Tina Montecillo volunteered to submit a design for the proposed selling of APO Shirts. It was discussed by the body that we will be needing capital for the selling of shirts but nevertheless the money that would be earned by this will be added to the chapter funds.
G. OTHER MATTERS
Bro Ebenezer Daryl Manzano updated the body of the newly created VELEZ APO FACEBOOK PAGE. As of 7:00 PM, the page had 40 likes. It is noteworthy that it has not been created for more than 24 hours.
