4. How can I activate “PB Mobile Banking”?

After successful downloading and installation of Mobile Banking application, go to “New

Registration”

A new window will be opened asking to input your credentials like Mobile number & Account

Number.

Upon receiving the OTP, enter this in the application and then set your MPin & TPin.

MPin/ TPin is 4 characters numeric pass code, which is used to authenticate your transactions.

Note: - Activation of “PB Mobile Banking” is one time activity and further login can happen

through User Name and MPin. The MPIN can be changed subsequently whenever desired.

5. What are the features available in “PB Mobile Banking”?

• List operative accounts

• Balance inquiry

• Account Details/ Mini Statement

• Intra-bank account to account transfers including scheduled/recurring options. (Third Party)

• Inter-bank account to account transfers including scheduled/recurring options. (Own/ Third

Party)

• Account Statement for last six months on operative accounts.

• Change MPin/ TPin

• Reset MPIN/ TPin

• List loan accounts

6. How to generate/ change MPin (Login Pin) or TPin (Transaction Password)?

Set / Remove / Change of TPin (Transaction Password) or MPin (Login Pin) can happen through

Mobile Banking application only. These options are available in ‘Setting’ menu under “Reset Pin” of

the application.

7. Presently, how are interbank fund transfers made using mobile phone?

Various banks are providing remittance facility through their mobile banking platforms. The

interbank remittance request initiated from a mobile is processed by the beneficiary bank as a

National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) transaction. The fate of such payment request is

therefore not known instantly because NEFT payments are processed in batches from 8 am to 6.30

pm.

8. Can I link more than one account to the same mobile number?

Yes, you can link the same mobile number to more than one account on same CIF.

9. What beneficiary details do I need to make an NEFT remittance?

The beneficiary details required for NEFT are:

a. Beneficiary Name,

b. Beneficiary’s account number,

c. Beneficiary IFSC code,

d. Beneficiary’s Account Number,

10. Is there any limit on the value of transactions in “PB Mobile Banking”?

Currently, transactions up to Rs.25,000/- per day & Rs. 2,00,000/- per month can be facilitated

through “PB Mobile Banking”.

11. What are the charges for sending and receiving remittances using “PB Mobile Banking”?

At present, this facility is free of cost.

12. Can the remitter transfer funds from his / her to the beneficiary account in other

bank?

Yes, the remitting customer can transfer funds to the beneficiary account in other banks also.

13. How does the remitter come to know that his account is debited and funds have been

credited in the beneficiary’s account?

The remitting bank sends a confirmation SMS to the remitting customer about the transaction

initiated by him.

14. How does a beneficiary come to know of funds being credited to his / her banks

account?

The beneficiary bank sends a confirmation SMS to the beneficiary customer informing him / her of

the credit in the account.

15. Are the transactions done on mobile phone secure?

“PB Mobile Banking” is a highly secure application, which conforms to RBI recommended

standards of security for mobile banking.

16. How much time Mobile Banking transactions take?

Normally, Mobile Banking transactions get completed in seconds i.e. less than a minute’s time.

However, the efficiency depends on the data network available and the efficiency of the mobile

operator.

17. Mobile banking facility can be given to Minor account?

No, Any account opened in the name of a minor or if any minor is a joint account holder, such

accounts are not eligible for mobile banking facility.
