Where guaranteed pump performance is required Southern Cross willperform Works Certified or Works Witnessed Tests using the latestcomputer performance monitoring equipment installed in the SouthernCross Pump Test Laboratory.

“ISO Sovereign” PUMP MOUNTINGNormal horizontal mounting gives vertical centre-line discharge, howeverany angle from horizontal to vertical is acceptable. A feature of the SouthernCross “ISO Sovereign” range of pumps is the ability to mount the bodysideways for horizontal discharge to either side. This is done using twosimple mounting brackets which align with the same mounting holes asused for normal foot mounting so that no base modifications are necessaryto change the pump discharge from vertical to horizontal.

BACK PULL OUTWhen a spacer coupling is used pumpbody, suction and discharge lines, andelectric motor remain undisturbedduring servicing. This saves valuabletime and eliminates pump and motorrealignment.

Special design features of Southern Cross“ISO Sovereign” Pumps include taper mountedand keyed impeller for easy removal from shaftduring servicing and positive locking duringoperation; heavy duty shaft with large capacityimpeller end bearing for safe operation at highspeed; AS1830/T260 cast iron volute for addedsafety; reusable “O” ring body seal; minimumnumber of parts for full range (only four shaftmodules) reduces spare parts stocking;hydraulically and dynamically balancedimpellers; and highly efficient suctionperformance from double curvature impellervanes.

l STANDARD FEATURES

Type 431 stainless steel shaft; rugged castiron volute with integral suction and dischargeflanges and mounting feet; pressure rated to1600kPa (160 metres head); cast iron impellerand backplate; stainless steel impeller nut;cast iron bearing housing with sealed for lifegrease packed bearings (standard sizes readilyavailable from most bearing suppliers); lip typeshaft seals to protect bearings; singlemechanical seal.

Zinc-free bronze impeller,type 316 stainlesssteel shaft and Molybond coating.
