Funding for this session is provided by a USDA Farm to School Training grant.
There is no registration fee for these sessions. Registration is on a fi rst–come, fi rst–served basis. Registration will close when site capacity is reached or one week prior to each session, whichever comes fi rst.
Topics to be discussed include an overview of Farm to School, Farm to School Food Safety, and Local Procurement. Sessions will also feature a Farm to Table “Best Practices” panel and opportunities for networking.
The Pennsylvania Departments of Education, in partnership with
the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Penn State Univer-sity is pleased to announce “Farm to School: Making the Connection” Training Sessions. Five half–day regional sessions will be offered in February. These sessions are de-signed to bring together school food service directors as well as sponsors of Summer Food Service Programs and Child and Adult Care Food Programs with farmers and distributors who are able to provide local food for school, summer food service, and child care food programs.
