    Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced Size: 11” diameter x 25.5" long Materials: Cascade Yarns® Anthem and Anthem Chords 100% Acrylic 100 g (3.5 oz) / 186yds (170m) MC: 2 skeins of color #302 (Holiday) CC: 1 Skein of color #03 (Red) US 7 (4.5mm)/16” (40 cm) and US 7 (4.5mm) DPN knitting needles or size to obtain gauge. Yarn Needle 6 Stitch Markers Cable Needle Large Stitch Holder

    Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) Unblocked, Stockinette Pattern in the round Abbreviations BO = Bind Off CC = Contrasting Color CO = Cast On C4B = Cable 4 Back: Slip 2 sts to a cable needle and hold at the back of the work, K2 sts and then K2 sts from the cable needle. K = Knit K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together MC = Main Color P = Purl P2tog = Purl 2 stitches together PM = Place Marker Rnd(s) = Round(s) Sl = Slip St(s) = Stitch(es) SSK = Slip 1 stitch, Slip 1 stitch, Knit the 2 slipped stitches together WYIB = With Yarn in Back WYIF = With Yarn in Front YO = Yarn Over

    Special Pattern Stitches: Note: All sts are slipped purlwise. Stockinette Pattern Stitch: Knit every rnd. Reverse Stockinette Stitch Purl every rnd. 3 Needle Bind Off: Turning work inside out, move to 2 needles with half of work on each needle. With 2 needles parallel, insert a 3rd needle knitwise into the 1st st of each needle. Wrap the yarn around the needle as if to knit. Knit these 2 sts together and slip them off the needle. Knit the next 2 sts together (same manner). Slip 1st st on the 3rd needle over the 2nd st and off the needle. Continue until all sts are BO. Begin Pattern: Using Long Tail CO, circular needle and CC, CO 60 sts. Being careful not to twist sts, join in the rnd. PM. Cuff Rnds 1-8: K all sts. I-Cord Loop Rnd 9: Place the 1st 3 sts of the rnd onto a DPNs, Using the 2nd DPN (don’t turn work), slide it to the other end of the DPN with front of work facing you. The working yarn is at the left-most st on your left needle. Knit into the right-most st on your left-hand needle, by bringing the working yarn across the back of your sts to begin the next rnd. Keep repeating this process until your cord is 3” and join your I-cord back with your work. Keeping the beginning of the rnd marker in place. Put your finished I-cord sts back on the end of your left cir-cular needle and finish knitting the rnd. Knit 1 rnd. Picot Edging: K3, *[K2tog, YO]; repeat from * to last st in the rnd, K1. (60sts) Rnds 1-9: K all sts. Cable Section: Rnd 1: P all sts. Rnd 2: *[P8, K4]; repeat from * to end of rnd. (60 sts) Rnd 3: *[P8, K4]; repeat from * to end of rnd. Rnd 4: *[P8, C4B]; repeat from * to end of the rnd. Rnd 5: *[P8, K4]; repeat from * to end of rnd. Rnd 6: *[P8, K4]; repeat from * to end of rnd. Rnd 7: *[P8, K4]; repeat from * to end of rnd.     Break CC, Join MC. Begin Leg using MC: Knit all sts every rnd until leg measures 10.5” from start of leg section. Heel Flap Set-Up: K14 sts, Slip the next 32 sts on a stitch holder. Note: There is a total of 14 sts remaining on your needle. Slip the 1st and last 14 sts knit onto a DPN. (28 sts) Note: Heel flap will be worked flat; working back and forth with DPNs. Heel Flap: Join CC, P to the end of row. (28sts) Row 1: *[Sl 1, K1]; repeat from * to end of row. Row 2: Sl 1, P to the end of row. Repeat rows 1-2 until heel flap measures. 3” ending on a K row. Heel Turn: Row 1: Sl 1 WYIF, P15, P2tog, P1, Turn. Row 2: Sl 1 WYIB, K5, K2tog, K1, Turn. Row 3: Sl 1 WYIF, P6, P2tog, P1, Turn. Row 4: Sl 1 WYIB, K7, K2tog, K1, Turn. Row 5: Sl 1 WYIF, P8, P2tog, P1, Turn. Row 6: Sl 1 WYIB, K9, K2tog, K1, Turn. Row 7: Sl 1 WYIF, P10, P2tog, P1, Turn. Row 8: Sl 1 WYIB, K11, K2tog, K1, Turn. Row 9: Sl 1 WYIF, P12, P2tog, P1, Turn. (16 sts) Gusset using your circular needle With the back of the heel facing you, pick up 11 sts down the left side of heel flap, K32 sts of instep, pick up 11 sts on right side of the heel flap, K8 sts. PM. Note: This is the new beginning of rnd marker. (70 sts). Rnd 1: K18, K2tog, PM, K30, PM, K2tog, K18. (68 sts) Rnd 2: K all sts Rnd 3: K17, K2tog, K30, SSK, K17. (66 sts) Rnd 4: K all sts. Rnd 5: K16, K2tog, K30, SSK, K16. (64 sts) Rnd 6: K all sts. Rnd 7: K15, K2tog, K30, SSK, K15. (62 sts) Rnd 8: K all sts. Rnd 9: K14, K2tog, K30, SSK, K14. (60 sts) Foot: K even until foot measures 6” from back of heel. Break MC.
