In accordance with my previous communications to you (including, but not limited to,my letters of March 24, 2010, March 25, 2010, March 26, 2010, June 25, 2010 andAugust 19, 2010), the Ansonia Police Department has expected you to resume youractive employment as an officer in the department. The issues involving your trial and itsdisposition are not germane to your continued status as an employee of the City of Ansonia Police Department.

To date, despite my earlier letters to you requesting that you resume employment, youcontinue your unauthorized absence.

Concededly, you have attempted to rely upon the opinion of Harry Adamakos, PhD to justify your absence. However, I do not understand him to be a medical doctor. Nor do Iunderstand that any workers compensation claim is pending.

Additionally, the City of Ansonia has been advised that you are presently employedfulltime by the Greater Bridgeport Transit Agency.

In light of all of the above, the Ansonia Police Commission will convene a hearing toconsider the status of your employment as an Ansonia Police Officer. The hearing willbe held on October 14, 2010 at 5 :00 p.m. in the Enlingheuser Room (second floor) atAnsonia City Hall. At that time, the Commission will consider and may take actionregarding permanent suspension or termination of employment and forfeiture of some orall of your rights, privileges and entitlements under the current Collective BargainingAgreement. Specifically, the Commission will consider:
