The mission of Albertus Magnus College

is to provide men and women with an

education that promotes the search

for truth in all its dimensions and is

practical in its application. Founded by

the Dominican Sisters of Peace,

Albertus Magnus College, faithful to

its Catholic heritage and the Judeo-

Christian tradition, remains dedicated

to providing an opportunity for learning

which responds to the academic needs

and ethical challenges of its students

and of society.

This mission of Albertus Magnus College

derives from the intellectual tradition

of the Dominican Order whose essential

charism is the search for truth (Veritas).

Reflective of the dedication and

commitment to service of our founder

and sponsor, we at Albertus assume

responsibility for the fulfillment of

our particular service as an academic

Dear Alumni and Friends of Albertus,Over the years, we at Albertus Magnus College

have made every effort to build upon our Catholic and

Dominican foundations. Commitment to our heritage

is what strengthens us as we look to the future, and to

the celebration of our 90th anniversary in two years.

This Annual Report presents information pertaining

to the College’s financial position as of June 30, 2013.

The numbers are important because they reflect our

ever careful, prudent management, and the listings here

recognize our benefactors who have made so much

possible for the College. Your decision to support our

mission of providing an education that fosters a search

for truth in all its dimensions, and is practical in its

application, inspires us every day.

At present, we are in the process of developing

strategic plan recommendations to enable us to serve our

students and our community in ways that will add value

to our higher education mission. In today’s competitive

workplace environment, we must assist our students

to view, and to understand, their world beyond the Rosary

Hall Gate on Prospect Street. We encourage them at

the start of their academic journey in higher education to

be aware of their career options, and to consider carefully

the decisions they will make as they select the course of

study to meet their expectations. Such considerations

make up a plan of action to attain a practical application

of one’s field of interest, which may change as students’

experiences expand. Thus, for each of our students,

a successful job search is the result of planning and

perseverance.

Learning beyond the classroom—internships and

other experiential opportunities, resources of the Office

of Career Services and opportunities for study abroad

through a new affiliation with the Assumption College Rome

Campus Experience—can have a major impact on our

students as they contemplate their future. The challenge for

us is to meet their needs, providing them with an Albertus

experience that is the very best it can be.
