Padmalaya School of Dance was established in 1984 with a mission to impart for-mal education in the ancient Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam. Mrs. Padmini Va-san, the Guru, believes that Bharatanatyam not only teaches grace, discipline, rhythm, and music, but more importantly, it instills in the student, a solid under-standing of our culture, its traditions, and philosophy through countless stories of Gods and Godesses.
