I’ve been proven a quick learner. UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS - Minnesota - July 2011 to Present Lead UX Designer and Front-End Developer T-shaped-senior creative for the institution's interactive design environment. Executed UX concepts with the consideration for the human perspective. Managed multiple projects in parallel, organized and supported assignments in guidance by the business plans and brand strategy, under tight deadlines. Specialized as Senior UX Designer for the first ever intranet project. Efforts included: Lead and facilitated UX design workshops with stakeholders, built high-fidelity prototypes and conducted usability testing for external websites, internal websites and SharePoint sites. Migration of the external webpages to the intranet, decrease the total number of external web pages by 72%. Selected by Senior VP as a top committee member to serve as a creative lead on the institution’s rebrand committee. Lead as Senior UX Designer for all externally facing websites. Responsibilities included: Conducted research analysis on user insights through interviews and user testing. Created google analytics reports based on event tracking and goals. This allowed our team to alter goals, validate webpage and paid campaign assumptions. Stewarded and strategized iterative designs with developers, business teams and students to define concepts and develop an understanding of the possibilities and restrictions of design and development, from concept to release. Conveyed visual concepts and interaction wireframes into simple, intuitive and visually engaging designs and low and high-fidelity prototypes. Developed iterative visual designs with HTML, CSS, some JavaScript and PHP. Contributed to a code repository for fast prototyping and production with Foundation framework and SCSS. Assumed leadership role for building a UX pattern library and style guide for web interfaces and mobile applications. Pioneered the first ever Annual Report for the Information Technology Services department and the Provost. The IT annual report was presented to the board of trustees which brought in a significant amount of additional money towards the IT budget. The provost saw the annual report and requested for a similar execution. The Provost annual report was presented to the board of trustees. Assumed lead UX Design role for the first significant online giving solution, called Tommie Give Day. The giving solution earned over $525K within a 24-hour time span. Catalyst for imploring new ideas and finding ways to share knowledge amongst the team and business stakeholders. Served as a member of the first ever IoT Institutional Committee. This committee launches new IoT pilots that can be found throughout the campus. Served as Co-Leader of the Campus Maps Committee (2011-Present). This committee governs printed map elements to digital decisions across the institution. Served as member on the Marketing Communication and Training Committee (2017). Served on the IT Recognition Team, which recognizes IT employees (2016-2017).
