DAILY ITINERARY DAY 1 San Francisco to Singapore Sun Dec 15 Check in by 6:30 am at San Francisco International Airport for SQ #31 to Singapore, departing at 9:30 am. Cross the International Date Line en route. DAY 2 Singapore Mon Dec 16 Arrive Singapore at 7:05 pm and check in to the Singapore Airport hotel (1 night). Day 3 Siem Reap & Ta Prohm Tues Dec 17 At 8:40 am, fly from Singapore to Siem Reap in Cambodia for a visit to the extraordinary archaeological complex at Angkor Wat. Group transfer to our Hotel (3 nights), situated just a few minutes away from the ruins. Have lunch, and then an excursion to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. It has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and is still surrounded by jungle. L,D Day 4 Prasat Kravan Wed Dec 18 Our exploration to the Angkor complex will continue with a visit to the unique brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan. We will also see Ta Som, Neak Pean (a fountain built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisical Himalayan mountain lake), and Preah Khan, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. B,L,D Day 5 Angkor Wat Thur Dec 19 In the morning, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag. It is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Enjoy sunset at Ankgor Wat and a special dinner with Cambodian dance show. B,L,D Day 6 Siem Reap to Singapore Fri Dec 20 Depart Siem Reap on a flight to Singapore. Group transfer to our hotel in Singapore. Begin the Singapore Eclipse program. What to Expect: This extension is for the travel enthusiast who would enjoy exploring and learning about Angkor Wat, the most renowned archaeological site in southeast Asia! Leading the expedition will be an excellent local guide who is an expert on Angkor Wat. Cancellations & Refunds: The initial deposit is refundable until 120 days before departure, less a handling fee of $100 per person. There is no refund for any cancellation after the 120-day period unless your space can be resold; then a $100 per person handling fee applies. No refunds are made for unused services. Air fare is non-refundable, non-transferable. Responsibility: Betchart Expeditions Inc. acts only as agent for the passenger with respect to transportation and hotels and exercises every care possible. Betchart can assume no liability for injury, damage, delay, loss, accident, or irregularity in connection with the services of any airplane, ship, motorcoach, or any other conveyance used in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. We cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, terrorism, quarantine, acts of God, or other causes beyond our control. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger, as tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time stated. We reserve the right to substitute another leader of similar expertise or to cancel any tour prior to departure in which case the entire payment will be refunded with no further obligation on our part. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour. No refund will be made for the unused portion of any tour unless arrangements are made in sufficient time to avoid penalties. The price of the program is based on current tariffs and rates, and is subject to change. Any tariff, exchange rate, or fuel increases will be passed on to participants. Baggage is carried at the owner’s risk entirely. It is understood that the air ticket when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the passenger and the airline concerned.
