‘AN COMHDAIL’ SCOTTISH FESTIVAL – JULY 2005

The venue for our Scottish Festival was Troon Concert Hall, South Beach, Troon which was held on 30th

& 31st July ’05.

The Adjudicators for the weekend were :-

Monica Rodgers Omagh, Co. Tyrone

Sharon Murray Dublin

Mary Byrne Co. Kildare

Fabulous music was provided throughout the weekend by Seamus O’Sullivan from Glasgow.

Our chosen charity was ‘Rachel House’ Children’s Hospice in Kinross and the Scottish Teachers would like to thank all the parents

and dancers for their continued support of this great cause.

The event was attended by 42 schools from Scotland, London, Mid Ulster, Derry/Donegal, Newry, Dublin & West Tyrone – many

thanks to all those dancers who travelled from far & wide to support this very popular feis by the seaside! Yet again the weather was

great particularly on the Sunday when we found it hard to get all the dancers off the beach !! A great time was had by all and the

atmosphere and standard of dancing was fantastic throughout the weekend - hopefully the Scottish Branch can get this seaside venue

again for next year !
