Flexible Analysis InterfaceWith AMS Machinery Manager, you can view data more efficientlybecause you don’t need toconstantly switch screens. Allplots can be displayed as fullscreen or several plots can becombined in a single window. With multiple monitor support, separate plots can be displayedon up to three monitors.

Common applications of thispowerful flexibility include:

 Looking at three directions:the X, Y, and Z plot in a singlescreen.

Viewing the complete machinecomponent: all measurementpoints on a motor in a singlescreen.

 Viewing a complete machine.

Viewing similar machines frommore than one database.

Selecting how many and whattypes of plots will appear inyour view

Identifying changes in datafrom month to month.

Page 6

Dynamic display controls allow you to adjust the angle of the plot display.

View a complete machine at one time and customize your plot view by selectingwhat you want to see on the screen. This view shows spectrum, waveform, andtrend plots.

Quickly Determine MachineStatusUse the AMS MachineryManager Parameter StatusProfile to quickly view parameteralarm status of a machine witha simple, configurable colorselection (like green, yellow, and red). This capabilityhelps you to determine whereadditional attention is needed.

Navigational EaseNavigational functionality allowsyou to maneuver betweendifferent plot types like singlespectrum, multiple-pointwavefoms, and trends. Navigationbetween data, measurementpoints, machines, areas, andmultiple databases is easy withthe navigational tree.

Prescreen to narrow the searchselecting only points in alarm, survey dates, or notes that havebeen assigned to a machine ordata point.

Automated DiagnosticsNarrow the SearchWhen you are unsure or need asecond opinion on your analysis, the Automated Diagnosticmodule can confirm yourdiagnosis or point you to otherunderlying faults. The AutomatedDiagnostic program will help you

understand how it reached itsconclusion and can also be usedas a training tool. The modulesteps you through reasoning, rules, and facts as it analyzes thecollected data to increase yourknowledge and diagnostic skills.

Fine Tune AlarmsDuring your analysis or after youhave had time to acquire severalmonths of data, you may need toadjust your original alarm setups. The Automated Statistical LimitCalculation module can take data

from vibration patterns andconstruct narrowband alarms.Envelope alarms can also bemanually defined and createdfrom a reference spectrum.

Infrared ThermographyA successful and efficient infraredthermography inspection programis more than just an infraredcamera. With AMS MachineryManager, you can execute awell-planned program thatmirrors the structure of yourvibration analysis program, fromsetup to route-based collectionand reporting.

Using the Infrared Analysismodule, you can downloadIR route files to the CSI 9830Machinery Health Imager forroute-based data collection.Upload a route back to AMSMachinery Manager toautomatically assign imagesand field annotations to thecorrect measurement locations inthe database. The route list alsoensures accurate documentationfor all scanned equipment.

For off-route images, simply drag-and-drop image files onto thedesired measurement locationin the database tree.

The Infrared Analysis modulefeatures a Diagnostic FaultTree that contains a log ofequipment types, fault types, and recommended actions.

Rather than simply annotating IRimages, you can create a detailedfault analysis of the image. TheFault Diagnostic Tree reduces thetime needed to analyze and reporton images and provides consistentanalysis of anomalies, evenbetween different thermographers.

The Infrared Analysis moduleprovides a complete set of post-scan analysis tools, allowingyou to:

Indicate specific locationtemperatures with spot meterplacement

Draw lines across an imageand produce a temperatureprofile plot that indicates thetemperature change along theline

Place shapes on the imageto produce a temperaturehistogram plot

Identify locations of a specifictemperature on an image

AMS Machinery Managerprovides the flexibility ofsupporting Fluke® Ti55 images. With this functionality, you canview and fully analyze Flukevisual and thermal images.IR reporting formats provideselectable items for inclusionwithin the reports.

Because the database seamlesslyintegrates IR analysis with othermachinery health technologies, reports generated from AMSMachinery Manager are powerfulcross-technology tools forverifying the fault and severityof machinery problems.
