LAYOUTS

The Australian Model Railway Association WA Branch Inc. hopes you

enjoy the 2017 exhibition that participants have put on for you this year.

There are many layouts in various stages of completion.

If you like what you see talk to the layout people and find out how they

build and modelled the scene in front of you. Have a look at how they

got to the stage they are at. It’s all possible and they will be only too

willing to help you with answers to your questions.

There are many of the related railway societies and preservation groups

here too. Have a close look at some of the items they have brought

along to show at this year’s exhibition. You will be amazed at some of

the information about the history of not only the Perth area, but of the

state of Western Australia.

Have you had a ride on the miniature railway? Treat yourself while you

are here and find out where you can see them the rest of the year.

If you like the model railway/railroads you see ask at the advice centre to

where you can see more during the year and even join one of the clubs

in Perth.

Our friendly staff at the advice centre can also help the children who

have lost parents. We have never lost a child, but some of the parents

can become disorientated. So don’t lose sight of the advice centre and

you will always be OK.

On behalf of the members of AMRA WA please enjoy the exhibition as

much as we have in putting it on.

5 TRAINMAN—Huge range of used model railway equipment from N gauge to LGB, all at bargain prices. All locos are serviced and ready to go. Try them out on our test track before you buy. Contact me after the show on 0409115071 (especially if you have any trains to sell me)

4 GC Railway - ‘Construction Zone’ With more than 40 years of extending, modifying and repairing this home layout got to the limit of the materials used and fasteners. After the crunching and crackling while recovering from last year’s exhibition I decided to rebuild the whole thing and redesign the layout with 7 meters more track to make 74 meters. Most of the features have been transplanted from the old system with some rebuilds and modifications and now there are many more spaces for new developments. The system can now marshal 16 locos while 2 trains are running on the main lines and a shunter is working in the yard. With no specific theme, other than as much WA as I can, the large number of liveries allows many working consists and eight line name setups.

6 AMRA Large Scale Group Model Trains—Garden “G” Scale The Australian Model Railways Association’s large scale display will feature models in various scales, ranging from 1:15 to 1:32, operated on both 32mm and 45 mm gauge track. These locomotives will be some of the largest models on display at the Exhibi-tion. The display will feature freight and passenger trains from the United Kingdom, the USA and Australia, hauled by electrically powered modern diesel locomotives and real steam powered models. Return regularly to see different trains operating.

7 NDMES—32 years of continual development.

The mix of model engineering and the operation of a miniature railway has catapulted

the Northern Districts Model Engineering Society to No. 1 in WA in terms of paid-up

membership.

From small beginnings 32 years ago, the society now has 68 members, with a surge in

membership in recent years. The society caters for those who want to build their own

locomotives and steam traction engines from the ground up and members who just

love playing trains.

The growth of the society in recent years has been reflected in the increasing number

of visitors to its monthly public runs at Vasto Place in Balcatta. Now work has started

on another phase of its operation—a garden railway, catering for gauge 1 locos and

rolling stock.

8 Haskell Co has operated in Taiwan for over 15 years but is owned by

someone from WA, and in the past 7 has began to produce Australian models. In

2015 Haskell released the first mass production model of a WAGR/Westrail specific

engine (the L class). A new WAGR/Westrail WO ore wagon is expected to be

delivered later this year and another WA specific wagon next year. A number of

models of Eastern states prototypes have also been produced including 0n30

"Puffing Billy models, Queensland outline models produced with Wuiske Models,

photo backdrops to suit all scales, now sold 0 gauge brass models for NSW, Vic and

SA as well as models made for the Taiwan market in HO.

10 The Rotary Club of Ascot's Lego building club for Bricktober-Perth, The

West Coast Lego Users Group will be building a layout of "L" gauge LEGO trains in a

very detailed diorama that will include fully ballasted track and brick built roads.

This layout will be of a high detail level and will be like nothing that has ever been

seen at the Model Railway show before.

Once again we will have an interactive section that children can have a go at driving

the Lego trains.

cars, boats, planes and helicopters.

Based in Mt Lawley at 29 Railway Parade opposite the Guildford Road Subway. It is

well worth a visit. If you have not been there for a few years then come in and have

a look.

7 NDMES cont: The society’s involvement with AMRA started in the late 1980s

and for the first few years the society operated its portable track outside the exhibi-

tion building before moving inside.

17 West Coast Remote Control Trucks - We are a club based in Perth that started out just a group of friends with a common interest in 1/14th scale remote control model trucks and the buildings, construction machinery and other associated equipment to go with them. Nowadays we also have a lot of other items just for entertainment purposes or to support our main display item. Our membership ranges from young to old, both male and female and membership is open to anyone who is interested in getting out and having fun as we travel around WA with putting on displays at rural and agricultural shows, motor shows or just the events in Perth. Our models start out as a basic kit that needs to be assembled and painted, some are even built from scratch, from there they get the personalised touch to make them into what we want them to be whether that is a standard vehicle or something more outrageous!

18 Knoware is a HO layout still being developed by the Fremantle & Districts Model Railway Association. The layout consists of: · Two mainlines that pass through typical scenes of country sides, stations, houses and recreational areas. · A shunting yard where freight wagons can be moved around under manual control. · A branch line running the length of the layout between the Mountain and Snob Hill. · A roadway with cars.

The main station is a busy location with nearby shops, a bank and a working funfair. The layout includes a timber mill that processes trees from the nearby forest. All train lines are under computer control that provides the realistic inertia operation as seen with real trains. There are setup tracks located inside the layout that are used to prepare trains for running on the main lines. Structures have been modelled on real examples with some being built from kits and others built from scratch.

20 Jubilee Branch Line is an N scale layout by members of the Northern Suburbs Model Railway Group. Regular show attendees will notice the continued expansion of this “work in progress” including a detailed city vista and extensive “staging” area, which replaces the large manual turntable. The city module will see exciting new innovations which will be completed in the coming years. The overall plan was to allow each member to build a section of scenery, yet have an overall flow that represented a typical branch line. The size and shape of each section has been determined by the need to store and transport the layout by the individual members. Each section connects seamlessly but has its own theme – Australian, British, or American. The landscaping includes numerous interesting features, rocky outcrops, tunnel, bridges and roadways. From mainline station to numerous destinations, Suburban, Rural and Industrial. Diesel and Steam locos thrill any onlooker with interesting activities, such as turn-tabling, shunting, mining and changing stock content when least expected. The landscaping is a work in progress but the layout should prove to be busy and entertaining. For more information contact Kim Motteram by email – [email protected] or by phone 08 9300 5149.

19 Perth Hobby Centre has been serving the West Australian modeller for over thirty years. We carry a large range of locomotives and rolling stock as well as a full range of track, buildings and scenic materials. Our range of rolling stock has been greatly expanded recently with the introduction of Australian HO models by Southern Rail Models, Haskells and Auscicion, and the reintroduction of European models from Roco/Fleischmann. We also now order direct from Bachmann UK so are able to offer Branchline and Graham Farish locos and rolling stock at competitive prices. So come in and see what we have to offer. If we haven't got it we will try to get it for you.

21 Maylands Meccano & Hobbies Club—The exhibition comprises a range of

models large and small all constructed from Meccano. Some models are owned and

built by individual club members and others are built from club owned parts by club

members. Some models are from current sets available in the shops, some from past

sets while others are from independent model plans and parts from personal

collections.

The Tricky Track layout includes both new and previously displayed mechanisms. The Thomas the Tank series engines negotiate a number of mechanical obstacles in order to navigate around the track. Children are invited to draw patterns with the Meccanograph (a forerunner of the commercially available Spirograph). Maylands Meccano & Hobbies Club meets for model building on Saturday afternoons at the club premises in Maylands, except in January. Contact person: Secretary Ross Smith 08 9367 8906

Our Branch’s Early History

The Western Australian Branch was formed on 1 May 1972. Graham Watson

was the inaugural President.

The Branch’s first meetings were held in the Ross Memorial Church Hall on

the corner of Hay and Colin Streets in West Perth.

In December 1973 the Branch obtained a lease, from Westrail, for the former Perth Station Master’s house on the corner of Beaufort and Roe Streets

Perth.

In October 1975 our Branch held its first Model Railway Exhibition in the C.S. Harper Hall in Hay Street Perth. The Exhibition was funded by short–term

loans from Committee members which were repaid after the Exhibition.

In 1977 our Branch was informed that, due to the imminent need to demolish No. 1 Beaufort Street, our lease would be terminated. In its place we were offered the lease of Meltham Railway Station buildings, the buildings were on the island platform which formed the station. We moved in towards the end

of July, with the first meeting held on 1 August.

The City of Bayswater had a parcel of Commonwealth land which was vested in the City for passive recreational purposes and our Branch was fortunate

that a member was able to negotiate the lease of a portion of this reserve.

A Branch member design team prepared plans for our new Clubrooms, these were approved by the City and a Building Permit obtained. The first ‘sod’ was official turned on 10 December 1988, construction started and we moved in on 30 September 1989, the day we relinquished the lease on Meltham

Station.

During 1966 plans were drawn up and various approvals obtained to almost

double the size of our Clubrooms, giving us much needed extra space.

By the end of 2010 we anticipate that a third, smaller, extension will be

completed to give us a much needed storage area and loading ramp.

27 Ansbach started out as being a layout built by Bill Pigeon back in the 1990s. The

name of the layout was then “The Ansbach Branch”. Is was a period German layout set

somewhere in Saxe-Coburg, sometime in the first decade of the last century. The place

was chosen as it was an area where both Bavarian and Prussian Locomotives can be

seen together.

Bill had to down size. He donated the original layout to AMRA WA. After many years, it

was starting to look tired so it was decided to upgrade the scenery and rail to give it a

new lease of life.

The layout is not complete and it has been brought to the exhibition so you can see a

layout being built and be able to see what can go into it and how things are done. The

operators of the layout are more than willing to answer your questions to the best of

their knowledge. So, don’t be afraid to ask.

There are many different ways that have been adopted on this layout to show that

there are other ways of achieving the result you want.

19

28 Half Way—Yarloop This display is first and foremost a partly finished end to end model train layout, designed to operate and show the loading of wagons, coupling of a loco to the wagons, moving them to another location and unloading of the wagons. Multiple shunting movements have to be accomplished in order to complete this task. We have chosen the site of a steel mill as an example of a heavy industrial site requiring the movements required. The essential parts of a steel mill, including the coke ovens, blast furnace, steel making furnaces and rolling mills are displayed, some of them part finished, some not yet started. Their locations on the model are not prototypical in order to maximise the run time of locos and trains throughout the plant. Our plan was to have the completed model ready for next year’s show. However, we were asked to show the partly finished model this year to show you, the public, the simple techniques used to make a model train layout. Finished layouts, even industrial ones such as this, can be beautiful and appear so complex that people who may have a desire to make a train layout are actually put off from doing so. “I couldn’t do that!” Well, yes you can! We only hope that this layout may prompt someone get started in the hobby.

29 MODELLERS OF AUSTRALIAN PROTOTYPE (MOAP) MOAP is a small, private group of friends with the common interest in modelling Australian railways of any state or gauge in any scale. We meet weekly at each other’s homes to foster our interest in Australian based model railways. Our stand features a number of displays this year which highlight the members varied interests. WEST MERREDIN is an N-Scale layout built by John Miller and represents the standard gauge operations on the Eastern Goldfields Railway in the 1990’s. It features scratchbuilt structures and many scratchbuilt items of rollingstock. All of the locomotives in operation are kit-built. A RAIL BRIDGE TO NO WHERE is an HO-Scale diorama built by Andrew McCulloch and is not based on any one state rail system but rather a tribute to these bridges in general. The diorama is a single - track steel truss bridge with an exit from a tunnel portal. Nearly every state of Australia had some form of this type of bridge eg. The Maribyrnong River Rail Bridge in Victoria and the Cockle Creek Bridge in NSW. These bridges were either single or double tracked. The group is also running a modelling demonstration desk where members will be working on models of various scales and prototypes. Please feel free to engage any of the group’s members regarding any aspect of model railways. We are always happy to talk about our favourite pastime. Finally we have a display cabinet containing some of the Australian models owned by our members and again please feel free to ask about any of the models on display.

31 Yarloop Workshops Inc was a heritage listed facility showcasing over 100 years of timber milling industry that strongly contributed to the growth of the South West of Western Australia. It was a shining display of the history of wood milling, blacksmithing and steam generation.

The Yarloop Workshops and adjoining Cabin Restaurant was destroyed in the January 2016 Waroona, Yarloop and Harvey natural disaster bushfires that devastated the region. The site is still under clearance before our team can enter the site to access and restore items of significance.

The display the Yarloop Workshops will present will be a pictorial example of the

history the site contained, and we hope that people will join with us for the future

towards a rebuild of a replica site.

32 Thomas and Friends THOMAS THE TANK, in the beginning, A look back at the

origins of Thomas.

Thomas is based on a series of stories written by the rev Awdry for his young son.

these stories were published as a series of books beginning in the 1940s

Thomas the tank is built on two modules placed together and appears as one. The

layout has been built for young viewers and is an historical look at this very popular

children's series. The layout is mainly based upon the first two seasons of Thomas

which first appeared on British television in October 1984 and September 1986 , but

does show models of later engines, such as Emily, salty, Murdoch and others. There

are various information panels on the layout inviting observers to look for certain

items, such as postman pat, Bertie bus, Harold the helicopter and many many more.

One module consists of 3 circuits and contains the first 6 engines in the series. These

are models from Hornby model railways and are slightly larger than Bachmann

models used on the other board. It is possible to see two versions of certain engines

as they run on two separate boards. Each locomotive and train will do approx. 3

circuits of each track to allow the viewer to identify the loco/train on the info panel. If

you would like a train stopped for photos please ask. We do not mind anyone asking

questions but sometimes it may be too busy to give detailed answers but we will do

our best. Thank you

33 Lionel Trains by John Krokosz—The Lionel Trains exhibited are part of a collection which started in1946 when my Father purchased the Steam Engine for my first birthday. During my childhood I added to the collection a few pieces every year. When the family moved to Australia the train set was put in storage for many years and finally set up after I retired. The Lionel train display is an ‘O’ gauge three track, 1/48 scale. A Working / Moving Train Set The layout features four moving/working cars: A working coal loader dispensing coal into a coal car. The milkman ‘throwing’ milk cans onto the loading dock The ’barrel’ man rolling the barrels on to the platform. The horses being loaded into the stock car. The layout is 1.2M x 2.4M Watch as the cars load and unload the cargo.

22

37 Model Railway Diorama - Neceby: A typical LNER Southern Area Scene where the train is approaching a station. The train consists of a steam railcar from the 1930s. Running a passenger service five times daily.

Look for Station Buildings and people waiting for the next train. There are various items from the era to give a very clear vision of the era.

36 Inglenook Yard by Scott Parker—Inglenook yard is a end to end shunting

layout with passenger service on viaduct on top

35 Iron Hill by Vladimir Jedla A narrow gauge HOn30 layout. Predominantly steam short line freelanced. 1500 by 600mm in size an oval on outside with some switching in middle. Small town with a mine and a seafood processing facility on one side divided by a hill with a inlet wharf area on the other side.

34 Basic Layout Boards

23

39 Two Rivers—Tony Penstone "Two Rivers" is an American free lance railroad

set in hilly terrain. It features a single line that winds it's torturous way around and

amongst the hills, passing through several tunnels and over a variety bridges over the

"Two Rivers" until it reaches a small passing station before winding its way back down

the hills. The trick is to work out which tunnel the train will emerge from next. Each

end of the layout leads into tunnels which go on to 'other places'. Two trains from

opposite directions can meet at the small station and the pass on to other

destinations.

Two Rivers is Built and Operated by three generations of the Penstone Family.

38 Battersea Bridge: Elevated railways in New York and Chicago are a familiar back-scene to popular Hollywood films. The first elevated city railway was built in London in the 1860s to carry the new railways from the south and east over existing densely-settled areas towards the city centre. Hundreds of navvies used millions of bricks to construct long viaducts spanning roads, footpaths and canals. One result was a temporary house-building crisis in London as the railway companies monopolised brick supplies. Today’s railway commuter enjoys views across the rooftops. This model is a representation in OO (1:76) scale of a typical station on a busy south-eastern London elevated railway, one hundred and twenty years after construction. Familiar landmarks such as Battersea Power Station, the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge are visible in the distance.

Things to look out for:

Wickham Trolley - a small railcar used by rail workers for inspection and maintenance.

CoBo Diesel Locomotive - an early diesel electric locomotive that had a four-axle bogie at one end and a six-axle bogie at the other, hence the name. Like the WAGR ’X’ class, it was powered by a Crossley two-stroke V8 diesel engine.

Nuclear Flask Train - railways in the UK were used extensively for carrying fuel rods and nuclear waste between nuclear power stations and reprocessing centres.

Built by Frans Ponjee and Peter Cole

your childhood but enacting stories told by grandparents, creating a moment in time

inspired by a play or a song or a page from your favourite book.

This is a hobby limited only by your imagination. Welcome to the world of miniatures.

Feel like Gulliver gazing into a diminutive Lilliputian window as you look into a

dollhouse window at the time interior.

This fascinating hobby is enjoying popularity throughout the world. It’s a hobby that

encompasses many arts and crafts such as woodworking, dressmaking, knitting, cross

stich, embroidery, painting, printing or playing with clay, just to name a few.

Dollhouse miniatures are not only the domain of young children mimicking their

elders but is an absorbing hobby enjoyed by talented artists and collectors worldwide.

44 Z Gauge Layout Z Gauge Layout (⅓ size of HO/OO at 1:220) —Peter Cook: The setting is a fairly busy mainline station in a fictional location in Germany in no particular period, but after 1932 when the last infill houses in the Neuestadt (new town) were completed. Several older houses were ‘lost’, not without protest, when the town bypass was pushed through between the Station & the Neuestadt. The Altstadt (old town) and fire station are reached via the bridge on the left. The drivers on the roads can get into trouble as much as anyone anywhere, while the social cyclists don’t much like the zig zag road - well, not going up at least. There is a branch line, with a spur which climbs into the mountains - the trains dropping off and picking up sightseers, hikers, climbers, speleologists (cave explorers) and the occasional artist en route. Freight traffic is sometimes seen, with the main line siding holding the ‘SVT 04’ set being used by the “Z International” tour group - see if you can spot their yellow tour bus. Steam running periodically alternates with diesel power on all lines. Electrification may be coming, but the only sign is a small stack of catenary poles in the station yard.

45 “Medley”- Layout of the Southern Railway Modellers Group WA Medley is an “OO” 4mm scale layout currently on four baseboards. Built for both lightness and strength in construction, it is designed to be able to grow and be exhibited in different guises. We have been granted money by Lotterywest and are in the process of building a larger layout with MPD which we hope should be ready for 2018/19. Medley is not based on any one particular station but on an amalgamation of British Southern Railway practice (maybe Medstead and Ropley?) the intention being to eventually model exact station buildings, goods sheds etc. At the moment we have used Superquick card kits as the layout is still a work in progress. Medley has become an integrated extension of our now permanent old exhibition club layout, Alton, branching off as the Watercress line when not on exhibition. This year we have built a diorama surround with integral LED lighting and improved scenics. This layout is running DCC on an NCE system, with sound locomotives a big feature. We are this weekend running as a preserved railway and as such will have a variety of rolling stock on show. Our members come from Joondalup to Mandurah with one in Sydney. We are always looking for new members to welcome to our group. Contact CME: Chris Walker on 0418918451 or see us on www.facebook.com/SRMGWA

46 Sons of Gwalia Mine The Sons of Gwalia claim was originally pegged in 1896

by three Welsh prospectors F White, J Glendinning and J Carlson. “Gwalia” being the

Gaelic name for Wales. The Goldfields shopkeepers ( the Tobias brothers) that backed

the prospectors applied for a lease in 1896 and subsequently sold it to the London

and Westralia Mines and Finance Agency on January 6 1897. Development and

installation of a ten head battery commenced shortly thereafter and the mine

commenced operation in January 1898.

Herbert Hoover (later to become President of the United States) was engaged by

Berwick, Moreing and Co as the first mine manager in 1897. His delightful old

residence still stands today in its original location overlooking the current open cut

operation at Gwalia and operates as a bed and breakfast facility as part of the

Leonora and Gwalia Historical Museum.

Once the new mine was operational the surrounding mulga scrub was cut for fuel for

the steam boilers, mining structural timber and gold processing. The mine had its own

power station to drive machinery and produce gas to run the engines which drove the

electrical generators. A separate power station was also built to supply electricity to

the town site and power the tramway constructed between Gwalia and Leonora,

using firewood as its fuel source.

Check out the layout to read the rest of the story and see how they have recreated

it.

47 Mogumber Bridge The main feature of the Mogumber Bridge layout is a

scale model of the trestle bridge over the Moore River at Mogumber, 60 miles (96

kms) north of Perth on the Midland Railway line. This line opened in 1894ran from

Midland Junction to Walkaway and was founded on the “Land grans” system where

the company was granted 12 000 acres of land for every mile of track that they laid.

The Midland Railway Company of WA was founded in 1886 with the signing of the

Waddington agreement and operated until August 1964 when it was taken over by

the WAGR.

The station on the layout named “Mogumber Bridge” is loosely based on Mogumber

and is typical of a MRWA station with the station building on the loop rather then on

the mainline and utilising standard MRWA structures.

The layout is privately owned and was built while the locos and rolling stock are a

mixture of kit built and scratch-built items.

The track is PECO code 100 but with the sleepers covered with the ballast to give it

the narrow gauge appearance.

The layout represents the period from 1957 under the MRWA. To 1969 under WAGR

ownership, when the imposing trestle bridge was replaced by a steel girder bridge on

concrete pylons. Operating sessions will either feature Midland Railway trains hauled

by A class steam locos and F class diesel locos while other sessions will feature WAGR

trains hauled by F classes, X & XA classes and maybe even a W class steam loco.

If you would like to learn more about the Midland Railway Company of Western

Australia, do not hesitate to ask an operator.

49 Sn3½ Modelling Demonstration Desk Is located Within the S Scale Precinct Sn3½ scale (1 in 64) is perfect for modelling the railways of Western Australia and being a larger scale than the more common HO, the models are a little bit bigger. The scale has a strong and enthusiastic following both here and in Queensland, with a quarterly magazine, Australian Sn Modeller, produced to provide a communication link between those who model in S scale. Ready-to-run models in Sn3½ scale are not generally commercially available, so are either built from scratch, or from kits produced by our fellow modellers. Stop by the Sn3½ Modelling Precinct, and at the Demonstration Desk you can watch some of these models being built and chat with the modellers while they are building them.

50 United Modellers is an umbrella group of railway modellers who are all member of AMRA first and foremost. Members of this group specialize in making kits of WAGR vehicles and buildings in S scale (1/64th scale). The group consists of GA Models, Railwest Models, X class models, West Oz Models, Westland Models, Mainly WA Trains and others from time to time. Members have again combined resources for the Model Railway Exhibition.

Each of these modellers produces wagon, coach and locomotive kits as well as kits of structures and wagon loads. There are also castings of fittings, and decals for modellers of the WAGR and MRWA narrow gauge system in the period 1920 through to 1972.

The aim of the stand is to help promote awareness of the Sn3½ scale and to provide opportunities for modelling the 3’6” railway system in Western Australia. We do not produce in commercial quantities and we mainly provide our products to AMRA members. We encourage interested modellers to join us at our monthly meetings on the second Monday of every month at the AMRA club-rooms, 24 Moojebing St Bayswater. In December 2014 we celebrated our 300th meeting since January, 1990.

53 NMRA Australian Region Division Four of NMRA Australasian Region are

holding a model locomotive performance contest at this year’s exhibition. The

contest is open to two rail 16.5 mm models (i.e. OO, HO, Sn3 ½ or On30 scale) up to

500 mm long. Models will be put through their paces on Division Four’s locomotive

test track. The test track has a one amp capacity power supply either DC or DCC. The

models will be weighed in on a digital kitchen scale. The tractive effort of models

entered will be measured by a Micro-Mart “Pull meter”

Models will be assessed on their tractive effort to weigh ratio. In the case of a tie on

the pull to weigh basis, the model with the higher tractive effort will be declared the

winner.

55 CanTeen WA—CanTeen representatives spread awareness of new campaigns, upcoming projects and initiatives, including the interactive fun camps available to those young children going through cancer – just encouraging local support for the few camps located around WA.

We are always open to new spaces by which we can promote the work Canteen does for the local community. We have had immense responses from other businesses and store owners around the Perth metropolitan area and regionally. We have been to Bunnings in the Perth metro areas with immense responses! Generally just two representatives come down and set up a small 1x1M booth in a va-cant area away from any entrances with their promotional aids either inside or outside the building. A few examples of the booth set up is attached - the pull up banners dis-played are only what we have at larger spaces (i.e shopping centres/exhibitions/expos). They of course know to abide by any rules and treat all patrons with respect by bring-ing their best customer service.
