GLASS PENETRATOR - The important difference between our CNC turned projectiles and FMJ designs is the material used and the construction of the projectile. With a CNC projectile you have a solid monolithic construction, with FMJ projectiles the bullet has a soft lead core and a thin copper jacket. On impact with any barrier, especially hard barriers like glass, the FMJ projectiles tears itself apart and by the time the bullet has passed through the barrier. Their isn’t enough mass left to provide target effect. In many cases the mass is lost before it gets through the barrier and there is no target effect.Monolithic solids by their design, material and construction don’t have these issues, they deform and will lose mass but will always retain enough mass to maintain adequate target effect.Although the projectile is solid it is still a copper alloy and will not damage rifle barrels, its hardness is less than half that of a rifle barrel. We have fired many thousands of rounds through many types of rifles and have observed no detrimental effects on the barrel and no shortening of barrel life.

GLASS PENETRATOR - Superior ammunition
Since the London Olympics in 2012 EPA has been extensively involved in developing new projectiles able to penetrate glass barriers, with minimum deflection and maximum retention of bullet weight.
For a bullet to successfully defeat a glass barrier it has to have the right balance, too hard and it will fragment and too soft and it will deform, the tip is also important, too flat and there is a risk of deforming, too sharp and the chances of deflection are increased.
We have experimented with many designs and materials during the last 4 years, all have been extensively tested on many different types of glass, aircraft, trains, double glazing even triple glazing. The results from all this testing have allowed us to design a bullet capable of defeating many types of glass.
The bullet is a specific grade solid brass alloy, CNC turned to very fine tolerances to ensure consistency and in turn accuracy. From all our testing we established a unique tip design, that offers the benefit of reliable penetration, even at oblique angles and a reasonable degree of accuracy, even after penetrating the barrier.
Due to the sensitive nature of this information we have not published actual results but will be happy to offer more information to the users and if necessary conduct further testing on behalf of the users.
We offer the round in several calibers;
- 5.56 (.223)
- 7.62 x 35 (.300AAC)
- 7.62 x 52 (.308)
- 300 Win Mag
- 8.6 x 70 (.338)
- 10.36 x 77 (.408 Cheytac) We can also offer other calibers on request.
.408 / 10.36 x 77mm
A CNC turned monolithic solid, with a special tip shape, very accurate but with the ability to punch through glass with minimum deflection. It is very effective for targets behind barriers, with enhanced performance and predictability. The round is capable of defeating windscreens and many types of glazing, including aircraft screens, whilst maintaining the original trajectory.

A CNC monolithic glass penetrating solid bullet designed to offer
maximum accuracy and extended ranges due to its very low drag
design. It is very effective against many types of barriers, offering
the ability to engage targets behind barriers with a degree of
predictability. The round will defeat many types
of light barriers, like double glazing and vehicle glass
whilst retaining almost all of its mass and maintaining its
trajectory.
