ALWECO has combined two components, a girder clamp and a cloth stopper, to create its

Multi clamp. The guide wire is fixed so that the system remains more stable in response to

airflow fluctuations inside the greenhouse and the shade screen cloth cannot then lift in

gusts. A reduced contact surface area between the clamp and the girder also means that

bacteria and viruses have less opportunity to take hold and multiply.

After extensive research and study, ALWECO opted to work with translucent silicon sealer strips even though most

companies generally work with black EPDM rubber. Material properties are equivalent to traditional rubber sealer

strips, but greater light ingress can be achieved because they are translucent. Black silicon rubber sealer strips are

also available for blackout screens.

Our Ultra Delay slip blocks guarantees that all ALWECO’s screen systems close fully all year

round, in hot or cold conditions. Their ingenious design achieves a balance between the

block and the drive cable such that skewing is eliminated. This exerts reduced loads on pull

wires when opening and closing screens. Special-purpose springs allow the system to be

adjusted for every conceivable situation.

Lattice girders are not always available to support the screen system in the proper way at the

correct height. This can lead to poor seals and messy installations. Using Alweco's Cross block,

it is possible to fix support wires with respect to screen cloth sections so that they cannot lift

because of airflow fluctuations and remain neatly folded.

The mentioned values of light transmission and energy saving of the cloth are directly taken of the datasheet of the cloth manufacturer.

Although the information has been carefully composed the cloth manufacturer/Alweco accepts no liability for its accuracy.

One fabric that shades in the summer and saves energy in the winter. The different shading and energy saving screens offer the grower

the choice of various levels of shading and energy-saving. The fabrics, made up of joined transparent and aluminum strips, feature acrylic

yarns. The B-types are furnished with wide acrylic strips for use in hanging screens systems. PH screens contain the Flame Protect label

which ensures a basic fire retardancy. PhormiTex screens are flame retardant and Bs1 (European standardization) and B1 (German

The open shading screens have a very open weave. This enables an optimum ventilation to give a cooler greenhouse climate on hot

summer days. The Phormium open shading fabrics allow shading and energy saving simultaneously to different degrees. However, the

emphasis is on shading. This is why the fabrics are particularly used in double screen systems, especially in the floriculture and pot plant

cultivation sectors.

Moreover, PhormiTex Clear also enhances air humidity and is therefore conducive to a smart start of cultivation. PhormiTex Bright is

PhormiTex Super spreads direct incoming light into different directions. All energy saving screens are flexible (in favour of a small cloth

Thanks to the assimilation screens of Bonar Technical Fabrics, assimilation light stays where it should be, i.e. inside the greenhouse. PH 98

MAT FP has a highly reflective upper surface to keep warmth outside the greenhouse as much as possible.

A complete range of fabrics for wall, partition and overhead screens. The shading/energy roller fabrics PHL 20, PHL 55, PHL 66 and PHL 77

for inside the greenhouse, and Phormilux Outdoor for outside the greenhouse (can also be used indoors). PHL Black/White, PHL White and

Gev-Al/White can be used for blackout, assimilation lighting and energy-saving. All boast a UV-resistant laminate to give higher wear

resistance, a longer lifespan and lasting suppleness when rolled.

The combination of darkening screens PH 98 + PH 1 fulfills all requirements of short day plant growers. PH 98 + PH 1 has an occultation of

99,9 %, a high energy saving value and is stable and durable. Thanks to the sun light reflecting aluminum upper side, the fabric reflects a

very large amount of sun light resulting in a cooler greenhouse climate.The fabric can be folded into a small package. PH 98 + PH 1 has

very good moisture regulating properties. PH 1 alone can be used for occultation when the screen is put directly over the plants.

Occasionally PH 1 + PH 1 is used to increase the occulation percentage.

Revolux is made from flame retardant materials alone, this is the optimum choice for all installations from a fire safety perspective. It

meets the highest safety standard in the horticultural industry and test reports are available from various authorities.

HARMONY White strips allow less light transmission then the transparent strips, keeping the greenhouse cool. But it still provides a high

level of light diffusion , bringing light to the plants from many more angles and stimulating growth.

Firebreak (FB) each climate screen has approx 40 cm (16”) of firebreak along both sides, intended to limit screen-to-screen fire spread.

When properly installed, this provides approx an 80 cm (32”) of firebreak between adjacent screens.

H2no® technology reduces the formation of condensation droplets. The water on the screen forms a thin transparent film with

antireflection properties. The result is a considerable increase in light transmission compared to a non-treated screen, which significantly

stimulates crop growth.

Ideal for saving energy – night and day – these cloths combines good heat retention with maximum light transmission. The diffusion brings
