By the way, it was the time…

• Several months after the wall “fell”• Several weeks before two Germanies will

unite• Yugoslav dinar was enlisted everywhere in

exchange lists in the western world• The salary of assistant in Yugoslavia was

1000 DEM.• All in all: two Germanies and one

Yugoslavia

• Then: – 2 Germanies and 1 Yugoslavia

• Now– 1 Germany, and 6 - 7 (?) new countries – [And, in fact, many more]

Officially, in 1999

• Transferred to Burkhard (1990)• [9 very interesting years]• Burkhard → Bothe (1999)• DAAD initiative (academic rebuilding of SEE)• Klaus → Stanimir • Zoran → Katerina

• The rest is history
