One of the highlights has been the Theatre for Young People tour, The Mysteries, directed by Tara’s Artistic Director Jatinder Verma. Production shots from the show feature in this booklet. The show played in primary schools across the South East before arriving at the Tara Studio. Students were given an invaluable taste of life on the road performing for young audiences.

They’ve also recorded short films [available to view at alra.co.uk] and presented A Pocketful of Dreams, a collection of Tennessee Williams short plays, in the ALRA Theatre.

With a varied range of ages and backgrounds, these are the first actors to graduate from our newly extended 15 month programme; they’ve been with us since September 2010 and the extra time has allowed for a full year of teaching together with two terms of live and recorded performances for the public.

So you can get an even better look at these actors we’re streaming 30 second interviews with them [alra.co.uk], available before and after the Showcase.

ALRA’s place as the national academy continues to establish itself as we once again showcase in London and the Northwest. This year we visit the Soho Theatre on the 30 November, before touring to ALRA North on the 2 December.
