What your Career Success Center can do foryou over break
The Career Success Center has 24-hour support via the greatinformation and tools on our website. These can help guide you to thepath to your future and support you along the way. Our “walk-in”services will resume when our Career Peer Leaders return at the start ofthe Spring semester. Until then, we are available by appointment, andon Friday JAN 17, after the bootcamp, we will be here all day for walk-ins. Check out Handshake to make an appointment:

WCSU offers for credit AND paid internships via the Career SuccessCenter. Internships are essential to helping you decide your futurepaths, get connections and learn through experiences. If you have atleast 45 credits, are in good academic standing, and want to get 1-12credits while you work, contact Dr. Anthony Ciarleglio [email protected] and 203-837-8266.
Prototype your life with experiences andconversations
You are on a life journey that would benefit from “prototyping”through both experiences and conversations. Internships are a greatway to do this, as are joining clubs & associations, volunteering, goingabroad, etc. It can also be as easy as having a quick conversation to“ask for directions.” In something called an “informational interview,”you can ask for advice from someone about mutual topics of interestor about a job/field in which you're interested. Learn about employers and make contacts...all the right reasons forgoing to a career fair. There are at least 2 job fairs in the next monthwith all kinds of opportunities for ALL students, not just “business.”
GET HIRED through CT IFS, the association for insurance andfinancial services companies in Connecticut that is looking forcollege students and recent graduates on Friday January 3rdfrom 1- 4 pm in Hartford. Nearly 500 students attend each year,representing colleges and universities across Connecticut can goto the Marriott Hartford Downtown for this opportunity.
