From the Principal’s Desk

I hope this newsletter finds each and every one of you recovered from the effects of the storm as we begin to get back into some-

what of a normal routine. It was great to see 100 students, parents, and staff members for our Campus Cleanup on Friday, September 15th as

we got everything ready for our students to return on Monday, September 18th. As Mrs. Padilla and I walked around campus that day, we saw

lots of smiling faces and students happy to be back at school.

Today your child will be bringing home his/her progress report. We are following the calendar of middle and high school and going back to

nine weeks verses twelve weeks. Please review the progress report with your child and make plans to finish strong for the first nine weeks.

All teachers should be scheduling parent conferences the first 90 days of schools. If you feel the need to have a conference now, please check

the box on the back of the yellow progress report folder to request a conference.

At our Back to School Bash, I had a chance to share our vision for our Media Center Renovation. We had several parents come out to our first

meeting and look forward to getting your input on ideas to bring our media center into the 21st century. Our goal is to make the media center

a creative learning hub for the school community that would encourage teachers and students to collaborate, communicate, and share. PTA

will be hosting a Color Run on November 15th that will help to raise funds to see our vision become a reality. We look forward to your contin-

ued support of the many things we do at Partin.

Your proud principal,

Nancy Urban
