He didn’t like the bugs biting him, or the idea that anything could crawl across his sleeping bag in the middle of the night. It was too hot and the wind made scary sounds blowing through the trees in the night. He couldn’t think of one single thing he liked about it! He couldn’t believe his parents made him go. He couldn’t wait until the weekend was over.

Alligators are quick swimmers. They are strong animals. They spend a lot of time in the water, but they also like to rest on the sand. They are quicker in the water than on the land because they can swim fast, but they cannot run very fast. If I were swimming and I saw an alligator, I would jump out of the water fast and run away. I wouldn’t try to get away by swimming. I know I would have a better chance on land because I can run faster than an alligator.
