COLVA BEACH & PALÁCIO DE DEAO


Colvá is a coastal village in Salcete, South Goa, a 10 minute drive from the resort. It is a

restaurants, pubs and bars. Palácio de Deao is an 18th century mansion built by a

Portuguese nobleman, who was the Dean and Founder of the Quepem Church and

town. Enjoy a heritage tour through the house and wind up with a home-cooked meal.

SPICE FARM & SHANTADURGA TEMPLE


The Spice Plantation is located in Keri, a village untouched by pollution, 6 km off the

taluka of Ponda. It is spread over a large tract of verdant land, which offers the perfect

setting for you to soak in pure unadulterated nature. Enjoy a traditional welcome before

embarking on a guided tour of the plantation where you can learn about various spices

and their medicinal values, ending with an exquisite Goan lunch. Indulge in a riot of

colours in the butterfly garden and delight in the sight of over 75 species of birds within

the plantation. Shantadurga Temple is a large temple at the foothill of Kavalem village in

Ponda. A small laterite mud shrine was built and a deity installed here. The mud shrine

was converted into a beautiful temple whose foundation stone was laid in 1730 and the

temple was completed in 1738.

Discover the true, authentic and unspoiled Goa away from the tourist trail. The coastal

route takes you through small villages still filled with old and unique traditions and simple

handicrafts. Watch potters at work and mats being woven, and see how the juice of the

palm is transformed into the famous Goan drink - Feni. Go uphill for a bird’s-eye view from

the 16th century Fort Cabo De Rama, followed by the spectacular sight of eagle feeding.

Watch Brahmin kites make attempts to grab pieces of meat floating in the water as much

larger sea eagles glide intimidatingly above, ready to swoop in and steal it from under their

beaks. For lunch you will be taken to the famous Palolem Beach, where you can eat, swim

and relax before returning to the resort with amazing photos and very special memories.
