“The  Land  of  Programming”

Alondra  Hernandez  6    Program  Description  ALICE  is  a  beginners  computer  program  that  helps  students  learn  more  about  computers  and  programing.  It  teaches  its  users  how  to  create  scenarios  with  backgrounds,  characters  and  dialogue.  These  scenarios  are  part  of  the  computer  game  being  created.      Our  ALICE  project  is  a  game  that  teaches  the  player  skills  about  and  how  to  program.  

   

 Level  1  

   Level  1  takes  place  in  the  community  pool  of  the  Land  of  Programming.  The  lady  at  the  pool  will  ask  you  some  questions  on  compilers  and  different  types  of  programming  languages.      

 Level  2  

     Level  2  takes  place  in  the  savanna  of  the  Land  of  Programming.  The  baby  rhino  will  ask  you  questions  

about  computer  anatomy  like  hardware  and  software      

   

Level  3      In  Level  3  you  will  go  to  the  desert  of  the  Land  of  Programming  and  this.oldladyquestioner  a.k.a.  Oldy  will  ask  you  questions  about  Encryption  and  Depiction  Fundamentals.  

       

Program  Development  It  all  started  when  Denise  and  Alondra  started  making  a  pool  with  pizza  car  crash  in  front  of  it.  (Alondra  loves  pizza)  Then  we  thought  that  we  needed  a  theme  for  our  program.  Ximena  and  Alondra  then  decided  we  would  call  it,  ¨The  Land  of  Programming¨  With  King  Phoenix.      The  biggest  problem  was  we  were  all  new  to  programming  and  were  lost  and  didn’t  know  what  to  do.  Another,  problem  had  was  that  we  had  to  figure  out  alice  3  before  starting  our  actual  program.    So,  we  had  a  really  late  start.              

How  to  Play  the  Game  When  you  start  the  game  the  king  of  the  Land  of  Programming  King  Phoenix  will  talk  to  you  and  explain  to  you  about  the  banquet  of  programming  and  about  how  different  community  members  will  ask  you  different  questions.  After  his  beginning  speech  you  will  move  on  to  level  1.  To  answer  each  question,  press  True  or  False.  Do  the  same  (Press  True  or  False)  in  Level  2  and  3.  After  all  the  levels,  you  will  go  to  the  banquet  of  programming.  After  the  words  that  say,  ¨Welcome  to  the  Banquet  of  Programming!¨  disappear  you  may  press  enter  to  restart.    

   Member  Contribution  In  our  group  everyone  did  part  of  our  project.  Alondra  and  Denise  did  most  of  the  scene  setup  and  Ximena  did  a  lot  of  the  questions  and  research.  Also,  everybody  did  some  of  the  programming  and  everybody  included  their  ideas  for  the  levels.
