ABOUT THE CUSTOMER
A Fortune 20 Global Healthcare company,
the customer is a leading manufacturer
and distributor of diagnostic imaging and
imaging modalities (CT Scanners, MRIs,
Ultrasounds).

The customer wanted us to automate
testing of their CT application that runs on
Linux in a hardened environment. The
application used Java, C++ and Xmotif
technology and has a legacy of 20+ years.
The application didn’t support testability.
THE CHALLENGE
algoQA was enhanced to test for scan
setting in particular, and also to test
applications that don’t provide element IDs.
All of this was completed in just about 3
months, clearly validating the speed of
algoQA as a solution. algoQA is also easy
to use and provides wizard driven
configuration.
algoQA is highly configurable, and not just
improves quality but also helps brings
down overall effort and costs.
THE SOLUTION
THE RESULT
With minimal inputs, our platform,
algoQA generated over 17,000 test
cases along with datasets and
executable (automated) test
scripts. Not only did we automate
testing but also enhanced
coverage significantly. The original
manual Verification Plan had only
1500 test cases for the area
chosen for validation.
The customer was one of the Early
Adopters of algoQA. We enhanced algoQA
to test the CT application exhaustively for
scan setting, across various protocols for
different anatomical regions.
From setting up the patient's information,
to selecting a protocol to acquiring a scout
scan and acquiring the actual scan to
closing the exam and viewing the images,
all of this was covered.
