Dear Incoming Student, Parents and Families,

Congratulations on becoming a part of the Albion College

community! One of the opportunities students will be

presented with is joining a fraternity or sorority. Exploring

membership in a Greek organization is a decision almost half of

the students at Albion have made! At Albion, we don’t allow

first-year students to join Greek chapters until February. We use

the first semester to make sure students are as comfortable as

possible with the process of joining.

Albion College’s Greek community is currently of 12 national,

social sororities and fraternities. For the past 134 years, these

organizations have allowed members to engage in and

promote friendship, scholastic achievement, civic engagement,

leadership, and more.

Our chapters sponsor educational programs, promote

community service and philanthropic involvement, provide

leadership opportunities and encourage positive lifestyles.

Chapter members have GPAs that are consistently higher than

the campus averages, hold leadership positions all over

campus, and foster strong connections with alumni, other

students, and college faculty and staff.

Students, we encourage you to attend the many fraternity and

sorority events this fall and become familiar with the

opportunities that await you in Greek life. If you have any
