PINEAPPTE EXPRESS SNEAK SCREENING!
WITH SETH ROGEN, JAMES FRANCO, DANNYMCBRIDE AND DIRECTOR DAVID GORDON GREEN
IIVE IN PERSON!!!5AT MAY 3,I.AMARFirst, it was IHE 40 YEAR OLD VlRGlN, then KN0(K[D UP and SUPERBAD right
on its heels, and suddenly that guy who played Ken on FREAKS AND GttKS was
biggerthan Brando. Seth Rogen blew up like a perkyyoung Hollywood starlet...except hel a dude. His average body-type and sarcastic, slacker candor became
the (omfortable celebrity rediner we could all kkk bark in. Now, Rogen, who
ro-wrote and produced both |(N0(KED UP and SUPERBAD, has teamed up with
unlikely auteur David Gordon Green (GE0RGE WASHINGION, ALL THE RtAL GIRLS)
for the HIG Hly anticipated stoner-comedy/crime-thriller Pl N EAPPLE EXPRE55. The
film sta6 Rogen as a pothead and fellow freak James Franco (FR[AI(5 AND GEEK5,
SPIDIRMAN) as his dealer. They aaidentally witness a murder by the hand of a
(orrupt (0p, and then Danny McBride (ALL THI REAI GIRLS, IHE F00T FIST WAY)
shows up with a shotgun, and everyone has a great time,.. Alright, we don't
know h0w it turns out in the end, no one does- the movie doesn't come out until
August! But, lucky for us, Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride and director
David Gordon Green are all coming down to the Alamo South Lamar t0 give us an
early ride on the PINEAPPLt EXPRtSS! (whirh, bythe way, is the name of Franco's
'special'strain...)
BRAD NEELY ANIMATICIN SHOWCASETHUfis JtINt 19 & 26. fitTU - HLMMAKAfi Lt\rr tN PtR$0$i!Ba* in 2001, Brad Neely became a local celebrity when the Daily Texan began
ru nning his self-published'(reased (omkJwithout realizing he was never actually
a student. Hi5 irreverent, crudely drawn single-panel gems were always good for
a quick mindgasm, but it wasn't until he put his pen to internet-based animated
cartoons that Neely would attra(t the whole Nati0n t0 his (harmingly disfrgured
approach. (ase in point: (0X AND (0MBEs'WAsHlNGToN. Who could have ever
imagined that an internet cart00n about two colonial libertines rapping absurdly
quixotic exaggerations about the legend of President George Washington would
edipse even KITIEN FALLSASLEEP as the'MostWat(hed 0nlineVideo ofAllTime'?
lf you happen to be one of the three people left in the lJnited States who hasn't
seen this cart00n, itt probably time y0u thought seriously about emigrating.
Now, Neely bides his time pulling diamonds from the rough of his mind and
cutting them into two perfect series for 5uperDeluxe.com: I AM BABY (AKES and
THE PR0FES50R BR0THER5. Join Brad Neelyfora magical, maladjusted eveninq ofhi5 personal favorites on the big screen!
