Alam Sutera

Alam Sutera is a 650-hectare new mixed-use residential

community planned for a rapidly growing middle-class

suburb 30 kilometers west of Jakarta. SWA provided

comprehensive master planning services for the

project which will ultimately include approximately

13,000 residential dwellings intended to appeal to all

market segments, and over 50 hectares of commercial

development.

The main features of the community design include

a central open space system with a championship

18-hole golf course, lakefront residential neighborhoods,

and a town center with a 40,000 square meter enclosed

shopping center, cinema complex, lakefront restaurants,

and food court. A special attraction of the town center

is a park with waterplay attractions combined with a

festival retail center.
