What’s a Holiday without Homework? Summer is here and with it come your amazing holidays! But what’s a holiday without some homework? So, we’ve decided to give you a fun filled activity this summer!
Some Suggestions from teacher’s desk: Holiday is a time to explore the world beyond text books and mundane theories…there is a mathematician within you. Application of the concept so taught can be done in an enjoyable manner. Open your wings and explore the world unknown, unseen and Undiscovered.

SUMMER HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT (2021-22)
GRADE 7
ENGLISH
General Instructions
• Choose any one from the following assignments given. • The assignment should be neatly presented in an organized manner.
COMIC MAKING LOGISTICS
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Students will:
• Infer the evolution of comic strips using the familiar comic strips. • Explore comic strips from the perspective of story (setting, character and
plot). • Evaluate comic strips by looking at words, pictures, and how they work
together.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Students can create their own comic strip with reference to any text from
the coursebook either as a soft copy or a hard copy.
2. If the students are creating a hard copy of the comic strip, then they need
to record a video (max: 2 minutes) of themselves presenting it.
3. Create your own story and entail that in the book you prepared with the
relevant pictorial work.
4. You are supposed to design the pictorial work on your own.

5. The story must have a message.
6. Design an attractive cover page with a catchy title.
OR
PUPPETRY (PUPPET SHOW)
LEARNING OUTCOMES
• Students will receive a complete set of experiences about art
through the four components of reflection, depiction, composition
and expression.
INSTRUCTIONS
• Students need to create puppets and enact out any story of their own or any
story from the coursebook using the puppets. • The recording of the same should be done in landscape mode and the video
should not exceed maximum 3 minutes.

DRAMA
LEARNING OUTCOMES
• To acquire knowledge of self and others that results from reflecting
on dramatic play.
• To develop competency in communication skills through drama
INSTRUCTIONS
Students can enact (dramatize) any story of their own or any story from the
coursebook.

FAMILY INCLUSION ACTIVITY
• Students can team up either with the family members or friends and enact a
story script of their own or from the coursebook.
• The role-play should be Max: 2 minutes, with all clarity and in landscape
mode.
COMPULSORY ACTIVITY – CLASS MAGAZINE
*Write articles, poems, short stories, plays, amazing facts, research work, comic
strips etc.for the class magazine which will be compiled after the vacation.

EMPIRE, Trace the history of the monument.

To analyze and investigate the symmetry in real life:
Q1. Album of symmetrical Shapes:
Line of symmetry is found in abundance everywhere
around us. Collect samples of symmetrical figures
found in nature, in your house, places where you
visited etc. and prepare an album. (Max: 10 pages)
Q2. Symmetry on roads:
Take any 10 Road signs. Draw the line of symmetry if
any. If there is no line of symmetry then mention that
the figure is non- symmetric. Name the road sign and
explain in a sentence, its meaning.
