The Brief - Future of Mobility- personal transportation!

The vehicle has four main mode: Vehicle mode, Kickboard mode, Cart mode and Carry mode. It a simple to use but also complex device that can suit the user in different environments and needs.

The main points for next prototype are: - Method of transformation: simpler and more impressive - Simplicity of use: instinctive understanding and operation

- Suitable for day-to-day environments

Sought after technologies: Transformation: - technologies for embodiment to create a robot transformer-like change

- large scale transformation mechanisms that operate through very simple commands Key points: Impressive WOW Factors

Operations: - an intuitive interface, like Iphone

- an interface that is suitable for all ages Key points: anyone can operate instinctively

High mobility: - ability to go anywhere

- technologies to allow the vehicle to traverse stairs, gravel and navigate crowds Key points: seamless and smart

Japan is famous for its excellent services and friendliness. In our recommendations, we would like to follow the traditional Japanese philosophy for hospitality. In our translation, ILY-A system is stands on a Guest-Host-Relationship which main feature is the host’s (ILY-A smart ultra compact vehicle) special effort in satisfying the guest/s needs. In order to achieve the best possible experience, we have to consider three principles:

1. The anticipation of the other’s needs

In order to give the flexibility to the users we have to prepare the facilities necessary soft and hardware’s.

2. Flexibility to the situation

ILY-A and its users have to interact and behave in a way that is appropriate for the users needs.

3. Understatement

While the transformation is taken place, ILY-A and its system should create seamless and simple to use interface.

Our plan is not just to make recommendations on how we would improve ILY-A functionality but how to create an intelligent mobility system, where travelling by ILY-A is both safe and pleasant. Our proposal is combining software with hardware; public transport with a clever vehicle, ILY-A. With our recommendation we would like to focus not just to improve the usability of the device, but also to create an ecosystem of product and design a different kind of experience.

ILY-A smartphone application will have the same sensitivity as the docking stations display have. Also, the smartphone application needs to be able to learn its user actions and make recommendations, propose new routes, give advice for shopping etc.

By combining a smartphone or table application with ILY-A transport system, we can help to create a stress free commute and reduce crowd in tubes or local buses. Also with ILY-A transport system

Reserve your ILY-A through your smartphone or tablet application and make your short trips easy. ILY-A would be available through a vehicle-sharing scheme.

Use ILY-A transport sharing system with four easy steps:

1. Open your dedicated ILY-A application while you travelling on trains, tube, bus or car

2. Choose your destination

3. Reserve your ILY-A from the nearest docking station

4. When you arrive to the train or tube station pick ILY-A up from the docking station

Enjoy your commute!

We would also connect ILY-A transport sharing system into the local transport system (bus, tube, tram). The ILY-A system can communicate with the local bus, tram or tube operators and when the use of the ILY-A transport system is increase, in the same time local operators can decrease the number of buses, when its necessary. Combining ILY-A with the local transport system, ILY-A can significantly contribute the cleaner, safer and more efficient transport system, especially in office and urban areas.

The software system would collect the data from the trips made by the users to offer optimised, more efficient routes.

In order to enhance the human experience by using design, we would use our EEG and Eye-tracking tools to optimize interfaces as well as social interactions. EEG and Eye- tracking research would be used to identify brain processes related to specific personality traits such as intro-/ extroversion or social anxiety. Additionally, by using EEG we can study, human-machine-interaction, where brain processes reflect on cognitive and attentional state of the user.

ILY-A can help people to move freely within the city. Freely mean according to needs of the user. With our hardware recommendation we have been thinking not just to improve the usability of the device, but also to create an ecosystem of products and design a different kind of experience.

With our proposal in each mode we do not only focus on the transformation of ILY-A; rather we designed new innovative ways to help users to make the most of out the product they love.

To enhance the usability of ILY-A we have to create an experience, construct a holistic view that involves the user’s cognitive, affective, emotional, social and physical responses to the device. User experience encompasses the total experience of the user. Hence, in our next stage of development we would focus on a richer conceptualization of user experience in full detail by using EEG or Eye- tracking measuring. Task-oriented users may consider the product differently than pleasure-oriented users. Although we had a solid backdrop exists, there is a need for additional research to understand how physical, social environment impacts the user experience.

ILY-A smart compact vehicle and its services can create an entirely new technology based shopping experience which is shown and outlined in further slides.

Convert ILY-A into a shopping cart! Use ILY-A as an extension to the shopping cart/ trolley. We would transform ILY-A seat into a shopping cart seat for children. Or use the part which are hidden beneath of the seat to create a holder where users can keep their smartphones. Smartphone apps can help to use shopping list.

In this mode, we use ILY-A body, handle and wheel to convert it into a shopping trolley. The shopping carts only will be placed and provided by the supermarkets, shopping centres. Push ILY-A body to a shopping cart and click them together; the device is ready to use as an innovative shopping cart! Based on a same principle as the shopping cart ILY-A could be convert into a baby pushchair or wheelchair.

Collapsible cargo container is disclosed into the floor of ILY-A. End walls are pivoted into the container when empty and locked against the roof, and then side walls buckle via hinges into a folded configuration. The folded configuration is achieved easily with a modified spreader without the need to otherwise disassemble or deconstruct the container, leaving no loose parts or tools.

It’s a fairly simple, we designed a foldable seat extension for improved safety and comfort. The backrest is hidden underneath ILY-A. It can be easily fold up into a backrest with led lights. This additional feature will support the back of the user and also improve the visibility of the user with the integrated led lights.

1.  This bag is a combination of a travel and a car roof box with embedded solar panels. Power and protect ILY-A while you are on the move.

2.  This bag lightweight and easy to store with folding side panels and collapsible frame. Rugged nylon shell expands around aluminium Click- Rail to protect ILY-A and give extra room for accessories during transport. The bag is embedded with solar panels.

ILY-A is the best way to meet or keep in touch with friends, colleagues. ILY-A as a short-distance transportation mode that can contribute to replace the short journeys typically made by car or public transport. We think ILY-A as perfect way to meet with friends, colleagues in park; places where isn’t enough seats are provided.
