* Internet access will depend on the home router and may result in some data usage (about 25MB per month) 1. AC unit is the ducted air conditioner which is connected to AirTouch 2 via main module or extension module 2. A zone is the area where air supply is controlled by one motorized damper 3. A group is a few zones grouped together which have the group name and are controlled (turning on and off,oradjustingopeningpercentage)atthesametime.Agroupwillhaveatleastonezoneandnomore than four zones. 4. Turbo functionwillgivetheselectedgroupafull-openingwhileallothergroups’(dampers)opening positions are reduced by 50% of their open percentage value. This will bring a large volume of extra air into the designated area and cool or heat the area quicker.

Home ScreenNOTE: • Thetouch screen will go to sleep mode after 90 seconds of inactivity. In sleep mode, the screen is blank. Touching any area of the screen will activate the system.• Toclean the touch screen, use a dry, soft cloth and very gently wipe the screen. If necessary, dampen the cloth with distilled water or with an equal ratio of distilled water to white vinegar.

3) Manual Control 3.1 ACUnitOn/Off

3.2 AC Unit Full Control

IfanACunitisconnectedtoAirTouch2withoutagateway,itcanbeturned on/offonthehomescreenofAirTouch2.TheACnameisgivenintheAC setupsection.ThepowerbuttonshowstheACstatus.Touchingthebutton willswitchtheACunitonoroff. IfACisnotsetup,therewillbenoACnameorpowerbuttononthehome screen. IftwoACsareinstalled,the“>”ontherightsideoftheACnamewillbring upthenextAC.

WhentherelevantgatewayisconnectedbetweentheACindoorPCBand AirTouch2,ACon/off,operationmode,fanspeedandsetpointcanbe controlledfromtheAirTouch2touchscreen. SupportedbrandsareDaikin,Panasonic,Fujitsu,MitsubishiElectric,Mitsubishi HeavyIndustries,ToshibaandLG.


ACOn/OffControlisthesameastheOn/OffonlyACcontrol. ACModeControl:Cool,Heat,Dry,FanandAutomodecanbecontrolledfrom AirTouch2bytouchingthemodeboxandselectthemoderequired. Fanspeed:Itcanhaveuptofivechoices:Quite,Low,Medium,HighandAuto. ThenumberoffanspeedwilldependontheACmodels.AirTouch2can automaticallypickupthefanspeednumberanddisplaythemadaptivelywhen thecorrespondinggatewayisconnected.Touchthefanspeedpulldownbox willbringupavailablefanspeedsandselectthedesiredonebytouchingit. SetPointcanbesettodesiredvaluefromAirTouch2screenbytouchingUp andDownbuttonsabove/belowthesetpointbox.Thelowandhighlimitsfor thesettingis10and32respectively.

NOTE: If ‘AC Error’ is displayed, it means AC has experienced problems. If the system has full AC control, the error number will be in the message box and can be used to trace the problem.

3.3 GroupOn/Off/Turbo a) Onthehomescreen,touchtheOn/Offbuttontochangethegroupstatus andthedampersofthegroupwillopenorcloseaccordingly. b) Thegroupstatuscanbesetto‘TURBO’activewhenthegroupisspecified asaturbogroup(referto5.4)andthegreyturboindicatorwillturnblueto indicatetheTURBOfunctionisactive. c) Upto6groupbuttonsareshowninonescreen.Touch>or<tobringup previousornextpage. IftwoACsinstalledwithtwoductedsystems,thegroupsareACrelated. IfACunit1’sstatusandcontrolareshownontheleft,thegroupsonthe rightareallconnectedtoACunit1.Touchthe“>”buttonontherightsideof theACunitnamewillbringupACunit2’sstatusandcontrolontheleft,and thegroupsshownontherightareallconnectedtoACunit2.

NOTE: A group can have up to a maximum of 4 zones. Your installer should have already set up your zones and groups.

3.4 Adjustingairflowforagroup • Thedamperopeningpercentageforeverygroupcanbeadjustedtocontrol theamountofairflowateveryoutletbetween10%and100%ofthe balancedvalue(setupbyInstaller)at10%increments. • Touch>or<buttonsnexttogroupnamestoincreaseordecreasethe percentage opening for the corresponding group. • TheairflowwillbeunadjustableiftheTurbofunctionisactiveorSafetyis activated.Pressing>and<willnotchangetheopeningpercentage.

4) Automated Control Automatedon/offcontrolforeachgroupandtheACunitisanimportantfeature oftheAirTouch2system.Thissystemhasaprogramcapabilitywiththreepossible programsettings,oneforweekdays(MondaytoFriday),oneforSaturdayandone forSundayrespectively. Eachprogramhas4programmableeventsperday:ontime1,offtime1,ontime2 andofftime2.Eachprogrameventcanbeenabled/disabledandtheirtimecanbe adjustedasdesired.Allfoursetsofprogramaredisabledinthefactorydefault. NOTE: The Turbo function cannot be programmed. It is activated manually from the touch screen as needed. Touchthe‘Program’Tabtoenter‘Programming’.

4.1 Set Program Upto4programsandoneACtimercanbesetupforeachductedsystem. a) Touchthebuttonoftheprogram(e.g.Program1)on‘programming’screen to enter the program time screen b) TouchtherelevantareatoselectMonday-Friday,SaturdayorSunday programandtheONorOFFoperationtomodify. c) Usethetimewheeltochoosethetimeforeachoperation.


4.2 Select Program for a Group or AC Enterthe‘Assignment’screenbytouchingAssignmentonprogramming screen.Assignmentscreenshowsthelistofthecurrentprogramofeachgroup andtheACUnitwhichwillbethelastiteminthelistifACissetup. TouchtheprogramfieldofagrouportheACunittoshowallprogramoptions. TouchingaprogramoptionwillassigntheprogramtothegrouportheAC unit.EachgroupandtheACunitcanbeassignedwithoneprogramfrom program1toprogram4(‘P1’to‘P4’),andthegroupwillnothaveaprogramif ‘No’isselected.IfaprogramhasbeenassignedtoagrouporACunit,the programindicatorwillappearnexttothegrouporACbuttonifanyofthefour eventsintheprogramisenabled.

NOTE: Programs cannot be assigned to a group with turbo status. Record programs and groups to ‘Table 5: Programs’ on Page 16

a) TouchACTimeron‘Program’screentoenter‘ACTimer‘setupscreen.

b) Touchtherelevantareatoenableordisabletherelevanttimer,usethetime wheeltosetthetimefortheoperation.TheACtimericonwillbeon thestatusbariftheACtimerisset.

NOTE: If AC is not set up, AC timer will not be available. AC timer function isdifferentfromtheprogramfunction,theenabledtimerwillactonceand will not repeat. If you want the action repeated at the same time, you may look at programs.

5) User Settings TouchUsertoenter‘UserSettings’screen

InUserSettings,youcansetupowner’sname,dateandtime,WiFiconnection, Turbogroup,temperaturedisplayandtouchtone.

4.3 AC Timer ACtimerfunctionisusefulforautomaticallyswitchingtheACunitonoroffat giventimeifACissetupinAirTouch2.YoucanuseOFFTimerandOnTimer incombinationorseparately.EachACcanhaveatimeriftwoACsareinstalled.


5.1 WiFi Setup TheinstructionsinthissectiondemonstratehowtoconnectAirTouch2toa homerouter,whichwillenablethecontrol/operationofACunitandzoning vialocalWiFiandinternet.WhenselectingapositionfortheAirTouch2main moduletobeinstalled,pleasemakesureitiswithintheeffectivecoverrangeof thehomeWiFirouterwhichtheAirTouch2willbeconnectedto.Thiswillensure reasonableWiFisignalstrengthandprovideareliableconnectionbetween AirTouch2andthehomerouteraftertheyareconnectedandthemainmodule isinstalled.Itishighlyrecommendedtoundertakethissetupbyplacingthe AirTouch2mainmoduleascloseaspracticaltotherouter,ideallyabout1.5to 2meters,beforeinstallingthemainmodule. The connection can be carried out by scanning or manual input. a) Touch‘User’andthen‘WiFi’toenterthe‘WiFiSetup’screen.IfAirTouch2is currentlyconnectedtoaWiFinetwork,itsSSIDnamewillbeticked. b) IfthewirelessnetworkSSIDisknown,touchSSIDfieldtodisplay thekeyboardonscreenandtheninputfirstfewcharactersoftheSSID. TouchEntertoconfirmtheSSIDinput.

c) TouchScantostartscanningforavailableWiFinetworks/routers.OrTouch Other…tobringupthemanualinput(gotostepe) NOTE: The system will scan and display two WiFi network SSIDs each time,soitwillbemoreefficientifthecorrectSSIDisinputbeforescanning.

5.2 Time/Date Setup a) TouchDate/Timetabonthe‘User’screentoenterthetime/datesetup screen. b) Hour,Minute,AM/PM,day,monthandyearfieldswillbeshownonthe screen.Touchthefieldwhichneedtobemodified,thenturnthewheelsto changethevalue.

5.3 Owner’s Name Owner’snameisusedbymobileappstodistinguishdifferentAirTouch2ifmore thanonesysteminstalledindifferentlocations.Themaximumlengthofthe name is 16 letters. GotoOwnerNamemenuandtouchtheboxnexttoOwnerNametochange theowner’snamebyusingthekeyboard.TouchShifttoswitchbetweenlower caseanduppercaseandtouchEntertoconfirmthenamechange.


5.4 Turbo Group Touch‘TurboGroup’tospecifyagroupasaTurboGroup.Turbofunctionwill givetheselectedgroupafull-openingwhileallothergroups’(dampers) openingpositionsarereducedby50%oftheiropenpercentagevalue.Thiswill bringalargevolumeofextraairintothedesignatedareaandcoolorheatthe areaquicker.Typicallythismaybeafamilyroom,diningroomorhometheatre (orincommercialapplicationameeting,lunchorboardroom).

Touchthe‘TurboGroup’fieldtodisplaythelistofavailablegroupname. Choosethedesiredgroupnameastheturbogroup.Theturboindicatorwill appearbetweenthegroupnameanditsOn/Offbutton. Iftwoductedsystemsinstalled,twoTurbogroupscanbeset,oneforeach system. NOTE:Tomakethespecifiedgroupstarttoworkinturbomode,thegroup status need to be turn to ‘turbo’ on the home screen (3.2).

5.5 Temperature Display Roomtemperaturecanbedisplayedonthetouchscreenornotbytickingor untickingtheitem. IfagatewayisconnectedtoAirTouch2,thetemperaturedisplayedonthetouch screenisfromtheACunit.Inothercases,thetemperaturewillbealways measured at the touch screen.

TemperatureCalibrationisforadjustingthevaluereadfromtheAirTouch2 touchpadsensor.UserscanchangethevalueinlinewithACwallcontrolleror other more accurate temperature measurement.

5.6 Touch Tone Thetouchtonefeatureallowstoeitherenableordisablethetonewhenthe screenistouched.Itisdisabledasdefaultandwilldisplayamutelogo onthescreen.GotoTouchTonemenuandtouchtheradiobuttontoswitchthe touchtoneonoroff.

Dampers have no response when turned on or off

• Checkifthe‘Safety’errorisdisplayed.Highlimit(Heating)orLow limit(Cooling)mayhavereached.Checktheair-conditionertoseeifit isoperatingnormally.AirTouch2systemwillresumetooperational afterthesupplyairtemperatureiswithinsafetyrange.• *CheckifSupplyairsensorispluggedinthemainboardandHighLimit &LowLimitisenabled.Ifthesensorisnotpluggedin,plugthesensor andthesystemwillbeoperationalafteraminute.Ifthesensorisnot required,disableHighlimitandLowlimitfromtouchpadandsystem willreturntooperationalinaminute.• *CheckifLEDsonthemainmodulelightupforrelevantzoneswhen thezonedampersarebeingturnedOn/Off.IfGreen/RedLEDsarenot activatedfortherespectivezone,themainmodulemaybefaulty, replace it.•*Check if the cable from touchpad to the main control module is faulty. For Android Phones: GotoMarket/GooglePlaystorefromyourAndroid phoneandsearchforAirTouch2applicationdevelopedbyPolyaire.After downloadingtheapplication,openthefileandfollowthepromptstoinstallthe applicationonyourphone.TheAirTouch2AppsupportsAndroid3.0.andnewer For iPhones:GototheAppstoreandsearchforAirTouch2application developedbyPolyaire.TapontheAirTouch2AppandpressInstall.Enter youriTunespasswordandtheAirTouch2appwillbeautomaticallydownloaded andinstalledonyouriPhone.TheAirTouch2AppsupportsiOS8.0.andnewer.

8.2 Using AirTouch 2 Apps. WhenmobilesandAirTouch2areallconnectedtothesameWiFinetwork,the AirTouch2appwillrunstraightawayandthecontrolinterfacewillcomeup. Otherwise,you’llneedinternetconnection(viaotherWiFinetworksor3G/4G network)andpasswordtoruntheapp.Ifit’sthefirsttimetoruntheappvia internetandtheapphasnotsuccessfullyrunonthesameWiFinetworkasthe AirTouch2before,youwillneedthedeviceIDandpasswordtoruntheapp successfully.ThedeviceIDcanbefound: 1.
