5 Deliverables

Customer training is fully embedded into Safran Landing Systems’ Customer Support Division. Our trainings are designed against a backdrop of in-service operational data, latest maintenance practices and trouble-shooting procedures. This course will comprise a classroom instruction on A320 family landing gear, held in English. The aim is to instruct and assist customers with basic understanding on the A320 landing gears, as well as their maintenance. All trainings are ICAO ATA104 compliant. The training will be led by an experienced and qualified instructor, ensuring an optimum exchange of expertise and know-how obtained during years of working in the industry. This will be a unique opportunity for the customers to acquire detailed understanding on Safran Landing Systems landing gear design and to share any doubts or concerns regarding maintenance of their respective fleets.

Safran Landing Systems is the world leader in the design, development, manufacturing and support of landing gear systems. A unique combination of advanced engineering capabilities, integrated systems technology and experience on an exhaustive range of programs enables Safran Landing Systems to provide innovative solutions for a wide range of aircraft, supporting over 40000 landings every day.

This training course aims at: • Improving existing knowledge on A320 main and nose landing gear • Giving essential knowledge on shock absorber servicing and levelling • Displaying in-service issues and recommended Service Bulletins • Detailing general maintenance recommendations • Laying out the main steps of the manufacturing process • Providing hands-on experience on shock absorber disassembly and servicing

All maintenance and engineering staff involved in landing gear maintenance and inspection (Engineering, MCC, Line maintenance), as well as actors in field support representative roles. In order to ensure an optimum delivery of this course and due to restrictions of the facility, the number of participants per training course is restricted to a maximum number of 5.

Deliverables can be subject to change for specific training sessions, but in all cases participants will receive at least:

• A certificate of attendance • An electronic copy of training course book material.(theoretical presentation)

Day 1 – A320 Family Main and Nose Landing Gear Theory The training will be held in an adequate venue, and the course content will be provided based on Microsoft Power Point. For day one, the following bullet points will be addressed by the training officer on site:

• Technical description - recap (steering, single and double stage shock absorbers, CAMs System, lock link mechanism, damper unit)

• Basic description of shock absorber servicing • In-service issues & recommended Service Bulletins • General maintenance recommendations

Day 2 – A320 Family Nose Landing Gear Workshop After the introductory presentation on day one, the second day will comprise participants experiencing practical training on A320 NLG available at the site:

• Introduction to the Workshop arrangement and reminder for safety rules • NLG disassembly (shock absorber removal and disassembly, CAMs and steering system ,

familiarisation with special tooling) • Shock absorber resealing (each trainee can perform resealing themselves) • NLG reassembly • Information on servicing and levelling (theory as of now)

Day 3 – A320 Family Main Landing Gear Workshop The third day will enable participants to gain hands-on experience on A320 MLG

• MLG disassembly (shock absorber removal and disassembly, familiarisation with special tooling)

• Shock absorber resealing (each trainee can perform resealing themselves) • MLG reassembly • Information on servicing and levelling (theory as of now)
