Childrenand teenagers are more susceptible to seizure than adults, but even thosewith no history of seizure or epilepsy could experience them while playing orwatching video games.

Symptoms of seizures include: lightheadedness, altered vision, jerking orshaking of the extremities, loss of awareness, confusion, twitching, or fullconvulsions. Convulsions can lead to other injuries by causing an individual

1. Go to www.aiononline.com/account and click theCr t accou tbutton toregister for a new NCsoft Master Account.

2. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to choose your NCsoftaccount name and password. Make sure that you enter valid and correctinformation, and that you remember your NCsoft Master Account details,as this account will be used to manage your payment information. (Ifyou already have an NCsoft Master Account, you do not need to createanother one. Use the one you already have.)

Now, you must create anAion game account on your NCsoft MasterAccount to log in to the game.

Getting Started1. Double-click theAion icon on your desktop or click the icon in your

ct t rti g C ss:Choose from one of four classes when creating yourcharacter: Warrior, Scout, Mage or Priest. As your character progresses,you will be able to further re ne your characters class and skills.

W rriors specialise in close combat, utilising their greatphysical strength and prowess. They have a wide range ofdazzling battle skills other classes cannot perform. Warriorsare relatively easy to play.

couts provide the best variety of play styles among the

basic classes. They bene t from great agility and can makespeedy attacks, though how well they perform depends on the skill of the player. Scouts are extremely versatile.m g s rely on their mastery of magic to deal large amountsof damage at long range. They are comparatively weak atclose combat, so it is important for them to learn how todivert and evade the enemy.

ri sts specialise in healing magic and can use long-rangespells to help allies and to hinder the enemy. While Priestsare more than capable of engaging in melee combat, theirstrength lies in healing and using protection spells to aidallies and themselves in battle.

Only the rst letter can be capitalised. Use the drop-down menus and sliders to change eachdesired detail of your characters face and hair.

Click theBo button on the left to select a body frame. Use the drop-down menus and sliders to change details of your characters bodysuch as head size, chest and waist.

Click the o button on the bottom right of the screen to move thesliders of the current tab randomly. Clicks tto return the sliders to their default location for the selected face or body.

Beneath your character, you can select one of three buttons to display howyour character will look without armour equipped, with beginner armourequipped, and with high-end armourequipped.These buttons show apreview only and do not change the look of your character.

att cki g: When your character has an enemy targeted, click theatt ck button on the toolbar or double-click your left mouse button on the opponent to initiate combat. Click the skills in your toolbar (or corresponding numberkey) or double-click the icon of a skill in theki swindow to unleash yourcharacters abilities.If your character moves while in combat, green arrows appear on thescreen near your character. The key you press grants your character aspeci c attribute boost:

These moves are especially useful when ghting other players. They giveyour character an edge in battle.C i att cks:A ashing icon that appears in the middle of the screen afteryou use a skill indicates that your character has a chance to land a chainattack. For example, one skill may open up the use of another skill, dealadditional damage, add an effect (such as sleep or poison), or change thestate of your enemy (such as a knockback).Open the ki swindow by pressingKand click theC i sbutton to seeyour characters available chain attacks.looti g: Dont forget to pick up all items from a defeated enemys corpse!Double-click or right-click the fallen target to loot items, or click thek a

button to loot all items.

q eDuring your travels, your character will meet many allies who need help.Icons appear above the heads of NPCs to show you if they are offeringyour character a quest. Right-click or double-click on the NPC to strike upa conversation.

A oub b u rrowmeans your character hascompleted a regular quest the NPC gave your character,but your character still has more tasks to complete.

Ab u su indicates your character has fully completed the regular quest the NPC gave your character andcurrently has no additional quests to offer.

NPCs with a campaign quest for your character aremarked with asi g go rrow.

A oub go rrowshows that your character stillhas remaining quests in a campaign quest to nish.

Ago su indicates that your character has fullycompleted the campaign quest for that NP.

The Worldof Aion The shattered world ofAtreia is inhabited by twoplayable character races Elyos and Asmodians and theircommon enemy, the Balaur.

The Asmodians are a brave and hardy people.Their skin is pale or dusky, and their eyes haveadapted to low light by gaining an otherworldly glow that is most pronounced during combat.Asmodians are generous and ercely loyal to their own,but they do not think twice before ghting ferociouslyagainst outsiders. Ascended Asmodian Daevas are blessedwith strength and the ability to y, and their feathered wingsare dark in colour.Asmodians live in the murky upper half of Atreia, the world ofAion ,known as Asmodae. Their capital city is Pandaemonium.

he elyThe Elyos are a beautiful and radiant people. Elyos are comforting, warm

and friendly, but against foes, they are not kindly or benevolent.Elyos believe they are blessed, but their splendour has also led them to become arrogant. The ascended forms of Elyos Daevas have

stunning, angelic wings, and their immense strength belies theirgraceful appearance.

The Elyos occupy the lower half of Atreia, a light- lled landknown as Elysea. Their capital city is Sanctum.

he BalaThe term Balaur invokesimages of terror and fear in the hearts of humans in bothhalves of Atreia. A mightyand highly intelligent racecreated by the god, Aion, to care for and rule theplanets population, theBalaur quickly became

xated with powerand domination. Theiraggression eventuallyled Aion to create the twelve Empyrean Lords to safeguard the planetand its people.After a long and viciouswar against the EmpyreanLords, the Balaur wereinvolved in the destructionof the Tower of Eternity duringa meeting intended for peace.The Towers destruction cast theBalaur into the Abyss, an unstablerift between the two shattered halves

of Atreia where the centre of the Towerused to be.Recently, however, the Balaur have managed toescape from their prison, and now they threaten this fragileworld with their fury once again.

NCsoft Europe warrants to the original purchaser of the enclosed product (theProduct) that the media containing the Product will be free from defects in materialand workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase (theWarranty Period). NCsoft Europes entire liability and your exclusive remedy under this limited warranty shall be, at NCsoft Europes option, repair or replacement,without charge, of all or the affected portion of any Product that proves to bedefective in material or workmanship during the Warranty Period.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

eXCl I n m Wa an yThis warranty applies only to defects in factory materials and factory workmanship.Any condition caused by abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, neglect, accident,improper operation, destruction, or alteration is not a defect covered by this warranty.Parts and materials subject to wear and tear in normal usage are not covered by thiswarranty.

Other than the warranties set forth above (which are limited to theninety (90) day period described above), NCsoft Europe products are provided asis without, to the fullest extent permitted by law, express or implied warranties ofany kind, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and tness fora particular purpose. NCsoft Europe does not warrant that the Product will be errorfree or will operate without interruption. In no event will NCsoft Europe be liablefor any special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from possession,use, or malfunction of the Product.
