Do Now

The Project

• Each student will choose from among two projects.

• Each project MUST use evidence from the text to support your ideas.

• Each project must include a separate page(s) of citations from the book. This will include the chapter, page #, and text that you used for your project.

Project 1:• Create one of the following

“alternate” versions of the story:– An “alternate ending”, where

one of the characters takes a different choice than in the text (3-4 pages)

– A “sequel”, detailing the life of one of the characters after the book ends (or in Winnie’s case, between the end of chapter 25 and the Epilogue).

• Your stories must include evidence from the text in some way. Make sure your story makes sense with the book.

sell the spring water that gives immortality:– On a poster, include a picture of a

bottle, the brand name, the slogan or picture advertisement, and a 3-4 page proposal.

– The proposal should include:• Why immortality is necessary for

you.• The benefits of immortality.• Why is your water better than

other waters.• How do you plan to manufacture

the bottles and sell them to stores.

• What/how much do you need in order to scale (to make the business bigger)
