HISTORY OF AIESEC

AIESEC is an international nonorganization that provides students with leadership training and internship opportunities at forand non-profit organizations. "AIESEC" was originally the French acronym for Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales (English: International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences); however, the funame is no longer in use. Its international office is in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

As of August 2012, the AIESEC network includes over 86,000 members in 113 countries and territories. It is the largest student runs organization in the world, being present in over 2,400 universities across the globe, provides more than 24,000 leadership experiences to its members and sends students and graduates on 20,000 international exchanges yearly. AIESEC is supported by over 8,000 of

partner organizations around the support the development of youth and to access talented individuals keen on personal growth.

AIESEC identifies itself as "the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential." It annually offers “24,000 leadership positions and delivers over 500 conferences to [its] membership of over 86,000 students". AIESEC also runs an international exchange program that

enables over 20,000 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and intern in another country.”

As the preparation period, training, about leadership and management was held at university of Georgia at the end of October, as it was the starting point and the first step

students attended it. The training was held by president of AIESEC Georgia During the training the participants were able to be involved in group and individual working tasks which aimed to rise up the motivation, to recognize themselves and find out their attitude and potenttoward leadership

AIESEC in Georgia was founded in 2006, and is actively working to provide nonpractical-education for Georgian youth, currently; AIESEC Georgia has 3 local committees: the first was LC (local committee) free University of Tbilisi

In 19 October, 2012 AIESEC Georgia and the University of Georgia made a contract of partnership. The contract was officially signed by president of AIESEC Georgia and the rector of university.

In 27 October, 2012 was opened the third LC in Kutaisi.

MEMBERSHIP RECRUITEMENT

After AIESEC the University of Georgia has been opened, the selection process of membership

recruitment started since then. Now, AIESEC University of Georgia is getting members for

departments. So far, we have 22 members and between them were selected vice presidents and team

managers.

RECRUITEMENT

After AIESEC the University of Georgia has been opened, the selection process of membership

recruitment started since then. Now, AIESEC University of Georgia is getting members for

members and between them were selected vice presidents and team

EXCHANGE RECRUITMENT

In October AIESEC the University of Georgia made promotion for internship abroad. The target groups were three universities: The University of Georgia, technical desks were made and presentations about AIESEC exchange experience were held, where our Georgian intern from Romania, shared her experience and acquired knowledge to the students. The selection process has started for interns, there were received 40 application forms and 1passed the first step successfully:

The interns from different countries are going to lead the trainings, they’re from Armenia Lusine Grigoryan and SuzanRostami, Moldova
