Experiential Leadership Development

The main programs of the organization are run here.

We provide team and international internship experiences. This is

the core service center where you can learn and gain everything from the

global leadership network of AIESEC. Its up to you to choose your path

and decide which programs will build your

AIESEC experience.

It is one of the most crucial ways in which you can start on

your path towards leadership development. In this phase

you will be introduced to a practical team experience, gainaccess to a global networkand engage in practical hard

I joined AIESEC at the age of 18 and was inducted in the international internship

sector where I got the opportunity to interact with top companies in

India and discuss business partnerships with them. At the age of 19, I was aleading 130 studentsmy age and guiding them in daily activities revolvingaround social impact, cross-cultural exchange and corporate programs that shaped

their personal development and career aspirations. I had the opportunity

to represent the youth voice of my city at an international forum thatinvolved leaders from 110 countries. Thus, my leadership experienceinAIESEC has equipped me to be a self-assured, confident, and responsible global

citizen, ready to make a mark in the world, along with the help of

the vast global network of AIESEC.

Global Community

Development Programme

International internships are the most intense learning

experiencewe offer and links together our global network.

This programme encompasses cross-cultural positive

impact through working abroad for social and community

development projects that lead to self development and

skill enhancement for the member undertaking the

programme.

After my studies in journalism were finished, I decided I wanted to put

my skills to practice and applied for an internship at an NGO inBrazil that supported the homeless. I was in charge of supporting

workshops for the homeless about how to write their own stories, basicphotography and reporting the daily experiences of the people at risk from Porto

Alegre. The opportunity in Brazil allowed me to learn Portuguese in just

a few months, learn about the social reality of the homeless in Brazil and

gain professional skills that will help her in the future. Ive learnt that there are a

ton of opportunities to make the world a better place to live

in and to give value to the things I have,

and others dont.

Global Internship

Programme

This programme offers internships that contribute to

the professional development of a member and

assist them to specialise in a certain field of work.They are normally long term in nature and involve

working on diverse business projects and

organisations.

Soon after having obtained a master degree in interpretation and translation, with

Italian, French and Russian as working languages, I suddenly realized that

entering labor-market nowadays is a difficult process to go through.

Where could I practice my skills? AIESEC was the right answer for me! It

offered me the opportunity to work in a Russian company, as an

employee, being mentored by the directors of the department I worked in.

The professional side of my internship allowed me to learn a lot

and improve on my skills. However, the personal side of my internship

allowed me to experience the culture of Siberia, and meet hospitable

and generous people. Two months changed my life, and opened my mind,making me discover the beauty of a country and the deep soul of its inhabitants.

A Life Long Connection

AIESEC showed me that it is the journey, not the destination that is important in life. I gained practical business skills,

for which those learned in my academic courses were no match. I learned how to be professional in

every encounter, to lead and motivate teams, and to widen my scope of thinking.

As President of our local committee, I gained an appreciation

for the value and power of teamwork and passion amongpeople working toward a common goal. In sharing these challenging andemotional experiences, my team developed a unique bond and today I

count these people among my best friendsthey arethe most interesting and passionate people I know.

Inspired to have the complete AIESEC experience, I set myself on the path to a development internship

[that] brought me to Cameroon. Conditioned by AIESEC to embrace going off the beaten track, I was ready to

experience a complete culture shock. I was surprised to experience more difficulty assimilating inDublin, Ireland, [where] I embarked on my second internship working with Baxter Health Care.

Had I not become involved with AIESEC, I would have not taken some very

important detours and as a result, would have missed out on incredible

friendships, amazing travel experiences, and fascinating insight

into people, business and our world.
